Three Out Of Four Have Failed
I searched online for ages before I found the recessed LED lights I liked for my newly fitted bathroom. They look great in the bathroom, too. They were installed by an electrician whom I've used for all sorts of electrical work in my home, including a full rewire. I might have bought a bad batch, but three out of four have failed since my initial purchase, one of which failed within a few weeks. It started to flicker occasionally, soon after it was installed, then just went dim. Rather than replace the light and have the electrician return to swap it out, I just tolerated it, then recently it failed. Soon after another failed, and since their replacement a replacement light has started to flicker, and cut out completely every now and again. My bathroom is completely white, along with the tiles and the ceiling paint, and I chose these lights because they are rated for a bathroom, as well as for their design. The bathroom doesn't get overly steamy, because I open the window when having a shower, and they are clear of any insulation in the loft, so they've been chose and fitted correctly. The electrician I've used has fitted four white Philips LED recessed light on the landing ceiling, just outside the bathroom, at the same time he fitted the bathroom lights, and they're fine. He also fitted two more white LED lights in the dining room ceiling and they're fine, too.Perhaps these lights are poorly made. The wiring and driver are quite delicate, but they do look great when they work.
