Muslin fabric from Mood
This seems to be a very nice muslin fabric. I am renovating a 45 year old quilt that a lot of unbleached muslin was used in the first construction. It is quilt worn and delicate now, so I purchased the new muslin to replace the original. I'm expecting that this new fabric will bring the quilt back to life.

Important in your sewing room
Over the years I have heard of Mood Fabrics and would like to go there to see their many fabrics. I will never get to take that trip, so I am happy that some of their fabric came to my house. This muslin came carefully wrapped and in a zip plastic bag that fits the package of fabric pertectly so there is no reason to go looking for a place to keep it where it won't get the inevitable dust that might settle on it.Muslin, is one of those things that should be in every sewists sewing supplies/room. Whether you need the muslin to make a muslin to check out how a pattern will fit, or when you have an idea but no pattern you can drape the muslin on a manniquin to make your own pattern. Muslin can come in handy as well in crafting, such as using it as a base for string quilting blocks. You can back your embroidery if you need to to to avoid seeing jump threads. You can use muslin for so many things and it is helpful when it is this nice quality muslin. It is 100% cotton, unbleached so natural looking, kind of an ecru colored.I appreciate the opportunity to try out this muslin. Thank you.

good quality muslin
This is a very nice muslin. I got it thinking if it was nice enough I could use it for quilting, and it certainly is nice enough - as expected from Mood. It is a thicker muslin (although not completely opaque, but I didn't expect it to be) and smooth with a higher thread count. It has the flecks of cotton bits that you'd expect in an unbleached muslin which personally I quite like. It would also work great for a garment muslin.
