DURAGADGET **Quad-Pack** Indoor LCD Room Temperature Thermometer/Gauge With Stand And Digital Display - Perfect For Use In The Office Or At Home

I purchased 3 of these in November 2011, principally to monitor room zone temperatures onmy central heating system. When they arrived one was a bit hit and miss to start up (one other reviewer I seem to remember returned a purchase due to this) but I persevered and after a bit of 'fiddling' all was fine, it seems to be the snug fit of the back that cancause a contact problem. They have worked fine for over 14 months now and I think they arean excellent product. When I first received them I was a bit suspicious as to whether they would each be as accurate as the other, so I kept them within a few inches of eachother fora week and after a initial few minutes they settled down to all read within .3 of a degree.Since then I have had one in each 'zoned' area of my house on top of the room stats.Without exception they all read consistently 1 degree lower than the inbuilt room statdigital display - I have erred towards the room stat not being as accurate as the'Duragadget'Fast delivery, easy to set up, long lasting and accurate an excellent product.Ocober 2020, it is now some years since I purchased thees and apart form a couple of battery changes all 3have (and still are) performed perfectly- a great little product.

They function perfectly well and user friendly, although not very accurate. Next to each other, one will read a degree centigrade different from the other one, and both are different from the one with the line of liquid in that I already had. So I have no idea which is right. But they do give an indication, at least, if the room is excessively hot or cold and you get used to what it needs to say in each room. (I have one in the lounge and one in the bedroom) I have health issues so I can't always tell if it's the room or me that is too hot or cold without checking so these are useful for me for that reason. They are small and fall over easily depending where they are. And you need a light on to see them at night as they don't have a light built in. But they are good enough.

Brilliant - just what we needed for our offices to check temperatures are good for a working environment. Bought 4 packs of two so didn't break the bank. Has also been useful at regulating some of the rooms which were too hot - hopefully saving on heating bills. We love these as they are uncomplicated and just give us what we need, a clear display and the ability to see the min and max temperatures. Small but don't be deceived by size. They do the job

Pack of 2, but the temperature varies by 1 or 2 degrees. The battery of one has already run out and its not even been a week. One used to bedroom for baby, so does th job, but not convinced on accuracy.Clear display and stands on its own

I *love* this.It's a perfect example of something doing exactly what it should (provide accurate temperature reading in C or F), plus more (minimum/maximum temperatures memory) at a very reasonable price indeed.It has a neat little stand on the back of it that can also be (carefully) used like a clip, too. It's also easy to put in a pocket or locate in tight spaces, due to it's compact size. I would add that the display is a great size and the two little buttons work well.Great product.

Pros:They seem accurate, side by side they both read the same to within 0.2°CThey appear solid and well madeCons:No instruction booklet provided, as per descriptionThe stand on the back doesn't open enough, therefore you cannot read the display unless you are parallel to the screenThe battery tag is impossible to remove, you have to remove the battery cover then take out the battery to get the tag outThe dimensions of the thermometers should be listed as they are much smaller than I had anticipated, only 6 x 4 x 1.5cmThe un-printed buttons can only be clearly seen at the right angle in a well lit placeDue to their tiny size i'm not exactly sure what i'm going to be able to do with them, as at home they would be easily lost on a shelf and look a bit ridiculous mounted on a wall.

These little digital thermometers are ideal for what I wanted, which was to check if my room thermostats were showing the right temperature. They're so small and compact they sit right on top of the thermostats and give an immediate comparison. I'd spent ages trying to find a simple thermometer without all the usual complicated bells and whistles you get these days, and these turned out to be exactly what I needed.It's true the postal charge is a joke, and I'd have preferred the cost to be in the price, but nevertheless I'm pleased with what I got and would recommend these to anyone wantng a simple, neat, one-purpose digital thermometer for use inside the house. They come with the small, round watch-type batteries, by the way.
