Zadro 10X - 1X Dimmable Sunlight Wall Mount Surround Mirror Satin Nickel

I shopped around at all of the home improvement stores and could not find anything close to this mirror.Even shopping online but when I saw it, I knew it was the one I was looking for! Wow is this thing bright! And it dims, and the 10X mirror shows pores on your face you didn't even know you had!Great product!!! Great service and everything.UPDATE 11/18/2011...My mirror doesn't light anymore. I figured it was the bulb, so I ordered 2 (comes in a 2 pack) and it still doesn't work! Just like several other people reported here. So it is probably the electronic ballast.Cannot fine a replacement ballast, but found something that might work.So don't purchase the Fluorescent Ballast model. Won't last. Maybe the LED model would be better?I'll check the wiring too, just in case a wire broke inside near the joints. I'll post an update if I find something else wrong...Update. 12/12/2011I bought a replacement ballast. Install was not hard, but you should know a little about electricity.Used wire nuts and spliced the old connector in with the new.Works great, but no dimming...

Absolutely a must have! I held the mirror looking into it and my husband marked the wall where the base would be mounted.I use the light on low otherwise the brightness would hurt my eyes. I love you can see every pore and hair on my face, even though I never knew they were there before this mirror came along.The bottom line; When I use the magnification side to apply make-up and it looks perfect—then I know my face will look even better to the naked eye. It really gives me the confidence of applying make-up, Yet I can still look clean, tidy and have a Natural beauty look.The mirror does pivot and rotate so even the males can use it to shave, and it folds back against the wall nicely.Wonderful addition to the bathroom!!

I have had this mirror for 2 1/2 years, the switch to turn the light on and off will not work any more. Zadro will not replace the switch because they say it would be a liability to do so. They do say they will fix if you send it in, I don't know about you but my wife uses her mirror daily and sending it, would not be an option. This is a ten minute fix at most with a supplied part. If they stand behind there mirrors the would send a new mirror as replacement. Sorry Zadro we are done with you.

Besides the fact that my wife loves this mirror - I'm pretty much responsible for the function of appliances around the house. I also appreciate good design. So from a design point of view this product is really good. You have an articulating arm, two way pivot on the head and the ability to rotate the mirror independent from the lamp! It is a very solid product for the price. We have had they unit for four years and replaced the bulb once which was easy. Zadro is a legit company, easy to find and they respond to service questions quickly. I just needed to replace the switch recently and they give me full support and replaced it at their facility, paying the return shipping. Really, the product and company exceeds my expectations.

Very nice. Mirror seems to be good quality.The mounting hardware is NOT sturdy enough to support it though. I recommend getting beefier screws/wall plugs and use at least 4.EDIT 2 years later.I ended up feeling real foolish having spent that much money for this piece of junk. 6 months after giving it to my wife for her B-Day it started to become a real pain to keep it from flopping around. The best solution I tried was putting Loctight on the big screw on the end of the arm but it only held for a couple of weeks. My wife kept a quarter near by to tighten it every time she moved it. She was very kind and didn't complain about it but I knew it bothered her. After owning it for nearly 2 years we pitched.

I like the mirror's magnification and ease of handling. I didn't much like the weight of it and have some concerns as to how long my anchors will hold it. That said, when it came to ordering a wall mounted mirror many things had to be considered that I would advise others to be aware of such as: 1) Shape - Oval or round? 2) will you need to hang it as intended or upside down due to space constraints? 3) when it folds back into its space, is there adequate space for the now bent arm? 4) if it is replacing an existing mirror, with the same anchor holes work even if it is the same manufacturer? 5) Do you want it to be lit and if so, do you want a white or an off-white light? 6) be sure as to the best magnification for your eyes. 7) Do you plan on hardwiring it to the wall or having a cord hanging that you can plug in? If you can not determine the answers about the mirror you are buying, be sure to call their customer service or email them to get your answers and save you from returning something that doesn't work for your situation.

This has been a great mirror and has lasted almost 6 1/2 years without any issues. I would say that's a pretty good product. It recently died - think it was the transformer inside as the light will come on but only for a couple of seconds.

The light has worked well and, actually better than the incandescent which we replaced.We found the 10x magnifying mirror was too high powered for general use. We subsequently went to the Zadro web site and found they make replacement mirrors in 8x and 5x powers for $20 each. We purchased the 5x and the replacement was a breeze taking about two minutes per mirror. Unless you need to work on individual hairs or skin pores be aware that the standard 10x mirror is way, way overpowered.With that exception we are quite pleased with the mirror.

The level of magnification made the mirror unusable due to the distortion. Don't buy this product.As well, I didn't realize it shipped from California so now returning it is costing me over $35.00!! The company is still sending satisfaction surveys, even though I contacted them to start the return process. They don't keep their customer database updated, and getting info when you are already unhappy is more frustrating.
