Works perfectly in 2003 Toyota Matrix; installation instructions
Take out the metal hood bar. Take out the old grommet. Insert the new grommet. Insert the metal hood bar.The bar will only go in after the grommet is installed. You can not insert the grommet and bar at the same time together.

Great rare find
My mechanic wanted to charge me a huge amount of money to replace the whole rod that holds up the hood. They did not have the washers separately available. At $8 for a set of these, it is very much worth it. Give a few to your mechanic.
