Bright Eyes, Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm and Baby Take a Bow are packaged here in their own individual discs in a box pack. What a remarkable child star Shirley Temple was. I first saw a movie of hers in the early 1960's as a child myself and thought she was amazing. There were two movie firsts with Shirley Temple movies. She was the world's first child star and she was the first to dance with a great African American star of vaudeville and then screen, 'Bojangles" Johnson. Their duets are not only memorable but a delight to watch. Temple was truly a child prodigy, with an IQ of around 155 and she never fluffed her lines. She also memorized everyone else's lines and was quick to remind them when they fluffed. President Roosevelt thought highly of Shirley Temple since her movies were a temporary escape for so many during the pain of the Great Depression. Baby Take a Bow was rather controversial at the time, since it featured the child (played of course by Temple) living in a perceived criminal environment. These movies will always be a joy to watch and Temple will always hold her own as the most amazing and gifted young child in early movie history. We bow to Shirley!

My daughter adores Shirley Temple. She is one of our favorites when it comes to movies. My mother ordered these for my great-niece who loves songs and music. These movies are very captivating. I am going to be ordering another set for my daughter as the set we have are on VHS and we would like them on DVD. Recommend this for children and adults of ALL ages. the price of these movies is very reasonable as well!

Got volume 1 & 2 now will get 3. I was worried maybe the prices for the Shirley Temple movies would go up after her passing but they didnt. My aunt says great quality picture on these collections. She loves Shirley , they practically grew up together :)
