Is the burlap raw, untreated? If it's not virgin, what is it treated with? Have the oils been removed?

I can answer about the yds but what I got was 4 inches wide not 40 and it was the shortest 5 yards I've ever witnessed. Total rip off.

Why does it have a smell?

Dear Customer, The smell is likely the organic material used to prevent the burlap from fraying. Best Regards, Pleminnyk Trading

Is this ok for fish pond and plants

Dear Customer, Although this may be safe for plants we do not recommend it in fish ponds. Best Regards, Pleminnyk Trading
