Passion And Prejudice [2001] [DVD]

Interesting film in which I've watched several times. I found myself studying both characters Dr Gwen Barry & Dalton Roy through various stages of the movie psychologically. Frances Fisher is really good actress which I hadn't heard of before until I found out that she was in 'Titanic' ! Her character is sexy, obsessive & dangerous. In reality, you wouldn't want to cross someone like that whether they were male or female !

Passion and prejudice is one those excellent erotic drama type films that use to been show on Channel 5 television during the 1990's. It is about an university academic who have spent majority of her time in college work, she let the love life pass her by.

Cheesy film but I really just want to know what that rnb song is when he gets out of jail and drinking champagne? If anyone knows reply thanks.

Dr. Gwen Barry, having neglected her love life for her love of teaching, decides to hire a prisoner, Dalton, who is on a work programme to do handyman jobs around her home. During their time together they embark in a passionate and lustful romance where she believes it's more than it is. Upon his release he moves on but she isn't prepared for him to just walk away.The film is enjoyable, to a point, but very predictable. The acting wasn't too bad but the actors seemed to be very one dimentional - they put no life into the film. I found after a while I lost the ability to emphasize with the characters because it seemed everything that went wrong in their life was a direct consequence of what they did't do. I found the scene where Dalton does the full monty hilarious. The locations used were beautiful.

This is for me 'so bad, it's good'. It's one of those 'True Movie' style easy watches. Very cheesy and predictable but I enjoyed nevertheless.
