Having recently started to reduce our use of plastics, I decided to invest in some liquid soap dispensers. I chose this one predominantly because it looked weighty (which it is) and because it matches my bathroom tiles beautifully. However, after only a couple of months use, the pump section has already lost its finish.It comes with a chrome-finish plastic pump which has leaked a small amount of soap around the plunger since I first started using it. We have been diligently cleaning this as it builds up as it looks ugly. Unfortunately, it would seem that this is now causing the finish to break down - either due to added friction or some chemical erosion (possibly both).I realise that replacement pumps are available, so all is not lost, but I am disappointed that this has happened after only a couple of months use. Obviously, if you are buying this on the strength of its overall looks alone, then fine, but it is something you will need to bear in mind.

This is a very pretty dispenser but it leaks from the top where the pump joins the bottle. I specifically wanted this for washing-up liquid in my kitchen, so it is possibly a problem because of the thicker viscosity compared to normal hand-wash, but it certainly does not do the trick with washing-up liquid - I am constantly having to wash excess off the outside. Even after the pump action has been completed, liquid continues to leak out for several more minutes. Very messy. Have ordered a different replacement and am hoping to have better luck with that.

The ceramic body is sturdy and attractive, but the chrome paint on the plastic pump has disintegrated in two places leaving it looking shabby. I have used this item for 3 months and am a single person household, so it really hasn't had a lot of wear and tear. In addition the pump is stiff to use and only seems to work in one precise location. It's not ideal to have to fiddle when you have dirty hands to wash. My Eco-friendly journey is over as far as hand wash is concerned; I'm going to consign this to the bin and return to supermarket plastic bottles. If you are considering buying this product, please read other reviews; there are several which mention peeling paint.

This is a great looking soap dispenser. It's a good size and the base is very sturdy. The problem I have, along with other reviewers is that the soap tends to ooze from around the plunger and dribbles down the sides so I regularly have to rinse it off. Its a shame as it looks so nice but I'll probably end up replacing it.

The ceramic body of the bottle is lovely. It looks nice and has a quality feel. However, the nozzle/pump is not metal; rather, it is a cheap plastic with a silver colouredcoating. After a couple of weeks the nozzle started to leak around the screw end and the silver coating degraded. We now seem to get a strange blue green scum around the nozzle.As there's nothing wrong with the bottle and it matches our bathroom, we are keeping it but replacing the nozzle/pump.

Initially very please with this product until within weeks the chrome has started to lift from the cheap plastic pump unit. For what these cost the manufacturer could have stretched to a decent metal pump.Past the return date otherwise I would be sending it back.Would not buy again and defiantly wouldn’t recommend to others.

Good product, does what is expected. Good weight (not light) so feels sturdy and planted. Good capacity and no issues so far with the pump. Great looking too. Speedy delivery as well. Recommend.

Only been using for just over a month and tarnished already. Can’t send back as return window closed and even though these weren’t expensive surely I can expect these to last a bit longer before looking old and marked and scruffy!!
