Great DAP that punches above its weight
I purchased this player as a modern iPod touch replacement that would enable me to maximise the use of my Bluetooth headphones. Its standard music player is very good and easy to use. The big advantage for me is the ability to load additional apps such as Spotify. The Dac used internally is very good and it will frighten other branded DAP which cost many times more. A couple of things to point out, the built in speaker is at best poor and I would have preferred a balanced output to be included. Do I recommend it, yes, as since I demoed it at work other people have purchased one for themselves.

Great Player - Tip to improve USB audio Volume.
Great DAP, install the Niagara Launcher, really improves the interface. - Snappy - Android allows lots of options for audio playback, eg spotify, audible, podcasts, etc... Sound is good, and AptX adaptive support is good. HiBy M300 usb volume issue with Headphones: - If avoiding lossy playback over bluetooth using USB (Not convinced it makes a great difference). - The USB Port sends a digital signal only for a clean sound, but not very loud. - This can be solved by changing how it handles USB audio output levels. - Go into Developer Options from Setting (Usual Android manner) → Disable absolute volume (toggle ON) - Really Great Value, and solid build. Only negatives, but no big issue. - Battery Life could be better but not an issue. - Transfer music via USB can be problematic (Just load onto SD card while not inserted)

Not good, but not bad, no real use
Soooo it’s not bad, but it’s not great either. Essentially what you have here is a stripped down android phone. As such it has all the functions of a phone, bar the actual phone and messages. However the processor and ram are not good enough and it struggles to do pretty much anything. While setting it up I’ve had it lock up twice and had to be hard reset. The music player is kind of meh. It didn’t recognise my existing playlists and had to manually rebuild them all, which when you’ve 10k of tracks it’s going to take a looooong time. However more annoying is that you can’t group your playlists into categories. Such as audiobooks, metal, rock etc etc. Battery life is ok, the listed duration is misleading since it refers to standby time, not use time. Which I put at around 12h or so. Overall I honestly don’t see the use for this device. So after a lot of frustration I’ve decided to return it

Great value , one of the best
No idea what all the negative reviewers have brought, nothing wrong with the OS at all. It's very well made and reminds me of a sony mp3 player but better value. With decent phones it sounds great and its great for the purpose intended. I have the 128gb version 4gb ram and its speedy.

No use for what I bought it for
It started off fine but now iw will not play through albums. It will play through an album and at the end it goes back to the begini g of the album instead of going to the next one. After many emails to hiby I am no closer to a solution. Before someone says it's on repeat it is not

Good quality sound and works as it should.
Just had this a couple of days. All works as it should. No problems downloading and using Spotify and Amazon Music. Great quality and works smoothly. Can't comment on battry life yet. Interface is a little small but its only a small screen. After owning the unit for a couple of months, I’m updating my review. I still like it—the usability and sound quality are excellent. However, I have to agree with some earlier reviews about the battery life. It’s poor, giving me only about 12 hours of playtime. Lowering the screen brightness might help, but with its small size, that’s not a practical solution for me.

I cannot recommend it.
I bought this player because of the pretty good reviews, but I received it with a broken screen. I don't understand how a new, unused item can be broken. I'm giving it two stars only because of the pretty good sound. I had to return the item

Highly recommended, good battery.
Really happy with this. I'm looking for a device I can rely on to play all of the music for our wedding, about 10 hours of constant play. I'd first bought a cheaper alternative for half the price but it was terrible in every way. This device is great. Feels good quality and sturdy. Screen is responsive and easy to read. You can change font sizes etc. I've downloaded about 25 hours of Spotify playlists on the highest quality setting and only used 4gb of storage. Battery life is really good, better than expected. I switched on battery saver mode, but have played and downloaded music over WiFi, using wired headphones, mixed use with screen on and off, and it's gone from 75% to 55% in about 4 hours. I'm pretty confident that using it offline with downloaded music it'll easily last the full day without any problems. I hadn't planned on it, but I'll use this on holiday for the flight and by the pool etc.
