Remote Control Compatible with Bose Sounddock 10 AM316536 AM314136 Bose Sounddock Series II,Series III, Portable HAS AUX Button for aux inputs with CR2025 Battery Silicone Button Key Design

Bought these because wanted a 2nd set of remote (I did not lose my OEM remote; just wanted another one to control the unit). Also the AUX feature is awesome... I have a CD player (yes CD player) connected to the sounddock and I no longer have to hold the "PLAY" button for 2+ seconds to get it working. Quality wise it is well made... The buttons feel solid (unlike some other non-OEM remote for TV's that I bought which felt like 99c store generic remotes). These I sense will last a long time if used properly. I got a 2nd one for another SoundDock upstairs. So if you have an aux device connected via the 1/8" cable... the extra button alone is worth the money over the years...

It worked with my Bose speaker!

Does not control all functions but turns it on and off and controls volume so it does all the important things I needed.

It controls on and off using the ipod icon for on and the off button for off :) Volume + and - buttons work. The aux button turns on the aux circuit, but you must control your mp3 player, etc separately. The forward and reverse button control the ipod song list. All in all it works the way it supposed to. The up and down list buttons don't seem to do much of anything. Perhaps on a different generation of ipod?

The remote is made of soft plastic. It has a screw in plug for the battery cover, the kind where a quarter is commonly used as a screwdriver to screw/unscrew it from the unit. In the best of situations these are problematic. The quarter rips up the soft plastic and after a couple of uses, the slot is so buggered up you can't remove the plug any more. This remote plug is worse because the plastic if very soft and is extremely easy to bugger up. On top of that, fresh out of the package, that plug is in there really tight. The quarter didn't begin to do the job. I even tried a screwdriver. Wouldn't work. I tried a drilling tool I thought I might be able to get a better grip on the plug with the tool. Nope! Without the remote, the Bose speaker is useless. There are no controls on the speaker. You have to use the remote to change volume and to turn it on and off, so that makes review for the Bose speaker into a 1* also.

The remote controls my Bose 2 fine. The problem is, the description says this remote is Infrared (IR), but that’s not true. Instead it’s an RF (Radio Frequency) remote just like the original. This would be fine except I purchased it because it was supposed to be IR which I needed in order to program my Apple TV remote, which only copies IR remotes, so I could control the Bose with my Apple TV remote. On top of that it came a couple days late. A big disappointment and waisted time. You guys need to be better with your descriptions of these items.

This remote did not work for my Bose.Will be returning it. Was satisfied with the delivery.

Works just the same as the original that was misplaced and best part is that no setup was required, it just worked right out of the box.
