Bought to use in a power outage, which happened here today. Pleased to say this air pump works really well, although it is VERY noisy. Not an issue for me as I don't have any of my aquariums in any bedrooms. Have bought a couple more, for the same reason, for my other tanks. Update: Yet another power cut. This one lasting 36 hours and I can confirm that this air pump is amazing. The batteries lasted the whole time and I was able to set one up so it worked on three tanks at the same time. Another covered two. Great product to have as a back up. Would highly recommend.

Great little product! Purchased for our little goldfish pond. Came the day after ordering, well packaged and simple set up. When you take it out of the box, everything you need is located in the battery compartment - Nice thick but malleable air pipe and a little air stone. The air stone produces loads of little bubbles and my two little fish seems to enjoy it. Not silent but not really loud. Really good value for money. So far I've ordered two - Will be ordering again. Highly recommend.

The air pump itself work well and provides good aeration to the water. It is SO LOUD though! I've bought this to use when we are away in a caravan and take our axolotl with us but this will not be able to be used as will keep everyone awake. We will keep it incase of power cuts though

The title would lead you to think it was a self contained unit but it’s not. I run mine on rechargeable NiMH 10000 mAh batteries. They last at least two and a half days on a full charge. I little more noisy than advertised but not overly intrusive. On the whole a good buy for emergency use at home or travel where you need aeration.

Worked great for a cross country move, kept my shrimp happy with a working air stone for the drive. Used my wall powered one at night in the hotels, ran this during the day. Only had to change the batteries once in 3 days. A little noisy but not bad, just threw a towel over it to muffle it a bit.

Exactly what I needed and has saved me from a few power outages

I used this product for my mad scientist halloween display. It was worth the money and did it's purpose. After halloween I placed it in ma aquarium where I run it a couple of minutes every other day. It's sturdy, durable, easy to use. Battery lasts long enough, it's pretty quiet with pretty decent airflow.

with rechargeable AA , I already have AA to D adaptors you can buy here on Amazon and so with about 16 to 20 nimh rehargeables and a supply of energizers AA alkalines I buy when on sale,buying this pump was a no brainer. I reserve back 1 star because although I have tested it, I have not simulated a full on multi day power failure because we get very,very rare power failures here in Vanvouver and only bought this as a backup because it was only 20 dollars and it had reasonable reviews and I already own the batteries and the adaptors. Now that I think about I could test it overnight with my 5 gallon aquarium bucket tonight and let it run overnight driving a couple ofspare sponge filters I have and if it works ,great… if not,then its too late…I am way past my Amazon return date.

Worked great to be able to move fish across the country.
