Good quality
Plug and play with Windows 11. No stutter on playback, and really quiet. Haven’t written a disc with it yet, but I’ve been watching dvds and playing cds. Nice and light and it accepted an aftermarket USB A to Mini USB B cable. Good quality at a good price.

So far so good
My last optical drive - different brand - lasted three years, so hopefully this will do better. The noisiness seems to depend on the disc, oddly enough. I've put a weight on top of the drive and that stops it going into full vibro-massage-mode. The CD-rom thing enables you to download some dvd/photo software, but only on a temporary basis, thereafter it'll be on subscription. I don't need that, much less being bombarded by pop-ups, so I've already deleted the software.

A good allrounder from a reputable brand
Only 2 slight drawbacks, one being that it is usb 2.0 rather than 3.0 and the other being that it can be quite noisy. Otherwise, solid build quality and it works well. Haven’t used the included software enough yet to really comment on that.
