High Durability Over 2000LBS 16 Inch Traffic Safety Baton Self Defense Weapon 2 Color 5 Motion Light Good Gift!

What drew me to this product was its durability, and the novelty of being a lightsaber looking baton. I do a Filipino martial art that teaches the use of sticks and batons, and this is a tool that could be implemented for self-defense. I have not rigorously tested it but so far I've given a few things a decent whack and it has held up. I feel like this would be okay and even handy to keep in the car. It has a magnet that lets you a fix it to a metal surface like the roof of your car or on the side. You can use the light to see while you're changing a tire or looking for something around the area. It also can be used for its intended purpose, and let people know that you are there and to go around. For self-defense purposes, I saw the ability for it to be flashing while you swing it could be highly potent in the dark in a self-defense situation. I usually take it with me as a flashlight when I walk my dog. Because one of the button options is to emit a focused white beam. The stool is extremely useful, and that it only takes AAA batteries and not some complicated expensive and hard to find battery is another huge Plus. While I don't like that there is not an option to have solid blue light to complete the good guy lightsaber effect, it's really not an issue. As a useful tool and potential self-defense improvised weapon, it exceeds my needs and my intended use and earns it's five stars. I intend to buy two more for my instructor and his wife for Christmas.

22 May 2018First Ordered x1I do have to say for this product being made in Korea it has a solid not cheap feel like some thing you would get from china. Well made but has flaws. the base magnet is not strong enough to hold it horizontal, but vertical on a more flattish suffice no problems. My personal preference and my opinion I wish the would due away with one of the strob settings and replace it with solid blue. My observation and experience is that I have used Energizer Lithium x3 AAA and it has not lasted as long as I pictured and as what was stated, Had running for 4-5 hrs and the blue was no longer visible, so I am going to experiment with different brands of batteries and see what I get.=================================================================================================UPDATE 18Jun2018 Placed a Second Order for x2 moreNow I placed another order because I had a coworker wanting one and I had to just have another, not too mention this Wand Has some heads turning also. So after digging around about batteries Lithium is not such a great performer. I was able to find a sweet deal here on amazon smile for Energizer MAX and Let me tell you I am completely satisfied with the batteries longevity. I have this wand going for great amounts of time between 5-6 hours and not any sign of voltage dropping unlike the Energizer Lithium which I would have to pretty much replace every time.===========================================================================================Update 11Jul2018Was researching the Li-Ion grade batteries and noticed that they make a Li-Ion 10440 (protected) which is the same size as the AAA not to mention rechargeable. going to contact the wand company and run the specs by them to see if there may be any complications with the batteries.×××××××××××× ADDED NOTE xxxxxxxxxxxxForgot to mention about the false batteries==============================================================================================UPDATE 13Jul2018So I have tried going to the product's website and it is not able to be found, tried researching a few of the given names on the container and still nothing. The battery compartment consists of a cartridge that holds x3 AAA's. With no metal contact running to the very end which could be engineered. Now for the overall height & width of the battery, I would need to investigate. The inside tail cap which contains the magnet does have a good amount of plastic extruding for cartridge compression. So Yes I have ordered the AAA False batteries and the 10440 Li-ion. Now only using Two false and One Li-ion It sure proves to be a tight fit for the carrier cartridge but It works like a champ.

I picked this up on a whim on Prime Day 2018, and it fits my wants.It seems that there's no such thing as having too many flashlights, and the light on top of this unit works fine. It's beam isn't super powerful, but it's sufficient for typical use (power outages, rummaging around in a basement, etc.).My neighborhood has seen a sharp influx of people moving in, and while I strive not to judge a book by it's cover, some of the folks walking around my neighborhood now draw some suspicion. I've been contemplating getting a non-lethal weapon but haven't pursued it.I think this will do the job. It's short enough you could swing it in a room full force, but long enough that you'd have a slight distance advantage over an unarmed attacker, or someone with a small weapon like a knife. I've walloped a couple of solid INANIMATE objects with it, and all the lights still work. I fervently hope I never have any intruders or attackers break in to my house, whether I'm home or not. But if someone does, I'd feel confident that this baton would hold up, and be sufficient to fend off an attacker without a high risk of killing.But, as it is, it's an oversized flashlight right now, which is actually handy, since I know where I keep it, and it's large size makes it easy to locate in the dark.I do wish this baton was available in a shorter length; I like the flashing red and blue LED's when I think of being on the road. If this baton was just a few inches shorter, I'd buy another one and stick it in one of my motorcycle's saddlebags. If by chance my bike broke down in low visibility conditions, I'd feel better about having one of these on the road to increase my visibility to other motorists.

Made of plastic. How can this be a self defense weapon? Did not return in time! Wish I could return it!
