I have to say that I was amazed. This product does exactly what it says it ...
The media could not be loaded. Primo, I have a 2004 X3 which had substantial clear coat flaking on the hood and top. I wondered if there was some wonder elixir that would solve my problems. I watched several online videos about this to-good-to-be-true product so I figured I'd give it a shot. I have to say that I was amazed. This product does exactly what it says it will do. It made my BMW quite presentable. From a distance, you couldn't tell there were any issues with the paint. Don't think that this will bring your paint back to 'as new' condition. It won't. As you'll see in my photos and video, it does a remarkable job. Another amazing thing about L'Oxide is how far the little bottle goes. I put 2 full coats on my roof and 3 on my hood, with still a little left in the bottle. The images show before/after shots of my roof and the video shows the improvement 2 coats can make. (Note how I've sanded the clear coat flush)Important: You need to wet sand the clear coat down to the point that you can't feel any 'edges' where the clear coat meets the paint. Use at least 1500 grit wet sandpaper. Any raised edges will still show a little after the application. The one down side is that mine wore off in about 3 months. The clear coat edges peeled a bit so it needed some light sanding before the next application. But for an instant huge improvement for your weathered, paint and peeling clear coat, I would highly recommend L'Oxide.Update after 6 mos: When initially applied I was very happy with the way this product took my peeling clear coat from a 2 to an 8. (Again, check out my video and you'll see the remarkable difference right off the bat) However, 3 months later, it started wear off and the clear coat began to peel. Which meant reapplying. Reapplying the product was easy but I had to sand down all of the flaky white edges that reappeared. But realize that backk 3 mos ago my paint was so bad, I had been close to junking it. So I'd stick with the product but just realize that it's magic needs to be attended to much more regularly than a regular car wax does. And keep in mind that I live in Phoenix where the sun can be quite brutal. I hope this helped.

Did not work as shown
Tried on 2 locations, did nothing in either place. On hood I used a clay bar, compound and polish to prepare for application and if looked much better and felt smooth and slick. Applied product on a small area and checked back next day, I could see no difference. Also tried on a moderately faded headlight. Left side faded, right side still fairly clear. Used a headlight restoring paste with a green scouring pad. Right side looked almost clear, left side looked much better. Applied product to entire headlight, checked next day. Right side looked worse, it looked blurry and left side didn't look any better. I had to redo the headlight restoring paste with scouring pad to remove blurriness.Product is non-returnable.

Worked great on my sun baked Honda Civic!
I should have thought to take before and after photos, but I'm very satisfied with the results of this product. I live in Colorado and the sun gets very intense here. Unfortunately, I also bought a black car and about once a year, it gets these very bad oxidation spots. I had no idea what it was at first, but when I had these guys come out to detail it one day, they told me it was oxidation. It looked like dull parts of paint had acquired water spots on it (like when you have dried water spots on glasses, but these didn't come off, obviously). Last year, it cost me about $75-80 to have it buffed out, but this year, all I had to do was wash my car and apply this stuff and honestly, this stuff made it look MUCH better than the detailing job did.I'll definitely keep this product on hand in case it starts to get this bad again. The bottle is fairly small as most other reviewers have said. I only needed it for the trouble spots, which were my hood, the driver's side from the door up to the front headlights and the trunk. The whole left side was fine. I used about 1/5 of the bottle, so if I'm able to get 4 or 5 uses out of one bottle, I'd say it was worth it.

Probably worth the effort and money
After hand washing, doing a wet sand (1500 grit), rewashing and drying my car, I was excited to see this product at work. Some words of wisdom, don't skimp on the sanding part. I had tons of small spots where the clear coat was failing, and while the wet sanding helped, I probably could have done it another hour or two to really even everything out.The good: just as advertised a little goes a long way. I didn't have to use much to cover the car. Immediately, the ugly white failing clear coat was much smoother. The bad: if you have a dark colored car, it can be difficult to see where you have already applied the product. If you have the slightest ridge between color and clear coat your cloth will leave fibers behind. Its time consuming: be aware you should have some significant prep work, application time, and then lots of time to let it dry. That's just the first application. The ugly: I read the instructions carefully, but would suggest they add another clause. We had very high humidity the day I applied the product resulting in a streaky, sticky, uneven finish. Granted it states don't apply if rain, fog, or mist are present, but hey I live on the coast and it's rare to have low humidity, and I can't plan my entire life around a car's paint job. I can't say I'm mad at the company, but buyer beware about water in the air. I'm optimistic that a 2nd coat will remedy some of the issues.Final thoughts: The car looks much better from 50 yards away, but close up, it's a hot mess. The stickiness is holding dirt, and its kind of splotchy, streaky, watery look, but again hoping a 2nd coat will help. I could probably do some kind of solvent to remove it and reapply, but its a 10 year old car. Bottom line if prepped and properly applied this product makes a failing clear coat less noticeable. Its no cure all, but probably worth an afternoon of work and the approximately $30 price tag.

Good product
It works good, but no as I was expecting because it doesn't clean very well.
