Good protein source (warning)
Edit- can someone PLEASE HELP ME?? I bought like 3 bags of this and the first two were good and it tasted more substantial. Now this third bag I got looks thin? Like the powder is more thinner and even when shaking, it’s like thin. Taste like nothing, it’s mixing well yes, but it doesn’t taste like it used to. It has way more bubbles in it. I was wondering if the powder was not good. As if they didn’t add all the protein or it is simply due to their factory process. They may have just milled the powder finer, but still. I relay on this protein to add to my calories since in a bad eater and idk if this is cut or something. PLEASE HELP. I need to be getting my calories, but I don’t know if this is good. It might be more finely milled or I may have gotten a faulty bag. Please help!!!!!! I am lazy and don’t like to make food, so I just supplement with this as I eat food. It helps me feel full faster and it keeps me going. It is a bit hard to mix if you don’t do it right, I suggest you do water and then protein in top to get a better mix, but other than that it’s good. It was cheaper the first time I bought it and it keeps increasing price, which is disappointing. I think it increased by 8-10 dollars or so?? So annoying. But it’s a good protein source and it has 27 g of protein in each serving. EDIT- warning this has very high levels of lead. There is no specified limit as some trace amounts of heavy metals are normal in plant based products as their root mechanism takes heavy metals up. This would be normal in trace amount, but the consumer reports published their findings and lots of these have “concerning levels of lead”. Rice protein isn’t any better as it depends where it is grown. For example, arsenic would be a big worry for rice as it leaches into it when grown especially dependent on where it was grown. If it was grown in Texas it would be concerning as they used to grow cotton where they used pesticides that contain high levels of heavy metals, specifically arsenic. It is important for these companies to place a warning on their labels as these metals are especially bad. This one does have a warning so consume at your discretion. I am worried since I’ve been taking this for about 5-6 months and it is scary. I will try to find another brand that publishes or at least tests their stuff to make sure they are at least safe for consumption, as in they meet FDA (even better if they are meeting California guidelines) guidelines. They need to at least have a safe limit of consumption for us and idk if that’s going to happen. This is of high concern for me as it should be for others. It’s such a bummer because I truly do love this product but as with everything “no good deed goes unpunished”.

Great for Shakes
Really like this pea protein powder. The unflavored formula makes it easy to mix into smoothies, shakes, and even other recipes without changing the taste too much. I like getting 27g of protein per serving, and the 5 lb bag is a great value. Good option if you’re looking for a simple vegan protein.

Super smooth pea protein excellent choice
The best way I've found to get a smooth non-clumpy consistent protein shake is to use extremely cold water and a spoon mix for about 30 seconds with your hand it decent speed comes out nice and smooth add ice cream or whatever you want it's great I recommend it for everybody and this is my third bag and still love it. Great price great delivery recommended for anyone.

Good value
This is unflavored but does have a taste. Not unpleasant but does not always go with the flavor of others things that I add to my smoothies. Texture is OK and have used in some baked items as well.

Very difficult to use
It's very difficult to mix with water and makes a very thick paste. If you want to take about 35 grams you need at lest 16 ounces of water to make it somewhat possible to drink, otherwise you are scooping it up with a spoon. Forget about adding anything else to it. The taste is not good, but that was expected. In terms of value, yes it's cheeper than whey protein (as of lately) but it has less leucine and other BCAA. It's also very poor in methionine so either you get these amino acids seperatly, or you are getting less value, gram per gram, in terms of anabolic support.

Doesn’t give me a headache
I can’t use whey protein as it give me a migraine. I like this because it is flavorless and I can put it in Soymilk, oatmilk, or yogurt and it doesn’t change the taste. I mix it with brown rice protein and I get the correct amount of protein for the day.

Look, I tried. I tried and tried - it’s not it, it’s me?
Probably a little bit it. I was looking for a vegan protein powder to move away from whey since it causes upset stomach and, you know, the planet and stuff. I came across this one, and it was a really good price at the time. (To be fair, it’s up at least $9 since I bought it, and I’m not even finished with my first bag.) I tried several different ways to make this work for me. I mean, I read so many reviews, and this one seemed to have mostly positive reviews! They (you know “they”) specifically mentioned how well it blends! Well, sign me up! Upon reflection and using half the bag: unsubscribe. I tried a shaker cup (at least one review mentioned it was the best way). I got my arm workout for the day, and it was still clumpy. I tried a frother in coffee. STILL CLUMPY. Mmk, maybe I need to mix it then use it as a creamer. Shaker cup with almond or coconut milk. Then frother in the coffee. STILL LLLLUMPY. Fine. I’ll bust out my big, ol’ Vitamix. It would work (no lovely lady lumps) one time, then the next, I’d take a sip only to have to stop and chew. Groooooss. Now, one review out and out mentioned she EATS IT WITH A SPOON. So, to each their own. Maybe when I’m ready to chew my pea protein powder, this will be the one. I am not giving up. I’m hoping to find the consistent trick, down to the ml of liquid and the second of blending, I just… WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE SO HARD??! Pics are the powder in the bag, in the cup, blended, in the coffee cup. I tried. I tried.

Good value, though inconsistent product
UPDATE: I've now been buying this for over one year. I only got one bag that was "off/different" it was still fine - not rancid, etc. All other bags (and I use as about 2x month) have been virtually identical and I've been very happy with them. ORIGINAL: I've purchased this 3x. The first two bags were great: minimal pea taste (easily obscured with cocoa powder or caramel extract) and mixed well with a smooth texture. The red bag, however, had a much more noticable pea flavor and a course/grainy texture that didn't blend nearly as well (and I'm boarding with a Vitamix, so it's getting serious blending 😃). I'm still using it but disappointed.
