Picked these up and they work fine. The two screws are nice for strain relief, and the large hole fits the 14-gauge wiring I'm using. These are nicer than the "splay the wires" banana plugs. With these, you stick the wire in and screw it. With the splay type I inevitably poke myself with a strand of wire...and the wire tends to comes off if you pull on it. Bought another set!

Works great. Easy to use - my first time putting banana plugs on speaker wire. Very simple. The two screws are useful. Dinged it to 4 out of 5 stars because these are no where near black and red. It is black and pink, pretty clearly.

Easy to install, really like the built-in strain relief. These easily slip apart into two pieces for assembly. There's an inner screw for the copper wire connection & the upper screw is for the wire jacket strain relief. Just don't over-tighten the collar, finger tight is fine for the outer color collar.

I bought these without researching them after they were recommended with another product. I have worked with banana plugs once before on my home theatre system, so I wasn't too concerned. Upon opening these, I realized these were not the same kinds of plugs that I have worked with before. On the older design of banana plugs, you push the wires through a tube and then splay the wires around the edge of that tube before screwing on the outer shell and plug. However, these take a different approach, where you thread the wires together into the plug and then tighten a couple of screws to leave them in place. I was skeptical about how to do this and whether it would work, but I followed the directions provided right on this product page and it was easy (disassemble the plugs; loosen the screws; take your speaker wire and make sure you have about 14mm of bare wires exposed, but twist them together; insert into the plug housing; once you have it inserted, tighten the screws and then screw on the outer black/red shell)! I agree with other commenters on a couple of things: 1) You might have difficulty inserting wire that is thinker than 16 gauge (remember, the lower the number, the thicker). I was working with 18 gauge from an old set of Klipsch computer speakers and even then, had to gently poke it around until I could get it into the plug. It wasn't hard, but it takes some patience to make sure you have it inserted all the way (however, even if you don't, these will likely still work, it just wont be as secure). 2) The plugs themselves will feel VERY tight trying to insert into your components. I followed the advice of another commenter who took some pliers and GENTLY flattened the plug... not all the way, but enough that it was easier to insert. The plug metal is pretty soft anyway. So even if you don't do this, you'll probably be fine applying pressure, but I also didn't want to risk ripping off the plug when trying to pull it out. Apart from that, these plugs were much easier to deal with than the traditional... and they have worked GREAT! I'll be going this route from now on when I need banana plugs.
