AlmayIntense i-Color Liner, Black Amethyst [001], 0.009

Love this Almay Brown Topaz pencil eyeliner. Ever since I started getting blonde highlights and lowlights to blend in with my graying hair, this has been the one eyeliner shade that blends easily and never looks harsh. I used to be able to buy it at any drugstore. Those days are over. But I'm thrilled I can still find it online.

This eyeliner broke the first time I tried to use it. The texture is very soft and so when I try to use the liner, a huge glob comes off. I don’t recommend.

It’s darker than my old Almay black amethyst. I had to look on my old pencil to see the name and it was called black amethyst but more purple than black. I like it though and would buy again.

Most products seem to be very dark brown or too light. This shade is mid way.It doesnt go on as smoothly as I would like, but definitely better than other brands I have tried.

This is the only pencil that I will use. And I have lots of friends who recommended this pencil and I’m really glad that I listen to them. Great pencil last long time. Nice and soft goes on easily great for its price.

I have been using Almay Purple Amethyst for years. Love it! Always get zillions of compliments. AND ladies I use it with green eyes. Almay says it is for brown eyes, but my eyes are green and it looks great. I was starting to get low and was not able to get out to CVS, so I decided to look online. It came up on Amazon as Black Amethyst but it looked purple in the pic. So I read the reviews and the reviewers said it was purple. I took a chance and ordered it. It came today. My CVS bought purple says 001 Purple Amethyst and the one I got on Amazon says 001 Black Amethyst. They are the same color. I have to read the label to see which is which. I'm thinking that, maybe, Almay Purple eye liner sells in Canada as Black Amethyst (this is only a guess). The 001 is the key. It says that on both. So if Purple is what you want you can feel secure ordering Black Amethyst.

Received promptly as viewed. Love this product, used it for years. Stays on all day. Reasonable price appreciated as this item has been apparently discontinued in my Province. Hope to be able to purchase same in the future.

Good dark violet colour and went on smoothly. Fairly long lasting when set with lick of violet eyeshadow on top.

I was so happy to find a source for this Almay eye liner as my local Shoppers nolonger carries it and I love it.

Nice colour for blue eyes has caused me some slight irritation

This product is way to expensive. Not worth the price
