Excellent Model; Painting Tips
Imotekh is an outstanding leader for your Necron army! In case you are just starting off, here’s my process for how I painted my model. DISCLAIMER: I’ve only been painting models for less than a year, so I am by NO means an expert. If you have a lot of experience feel free to comment more tips.1) When building, DO NOT GLUE HEAD OR CAPE.2) Abaddon Black from Citadel undercoat all pieces (cape white if you want it like box art).3) Dry-brush Leadbelcher silver from Citadel on body and head.4) Runelord Brass from Citadel on shoulders and headdress.5) Glue on head.6) Dry-brush Balthasar Gold from Citadel on cape. DISCLAIMER: this is NOT how the cape is “supposed” to be done, according to the box art. This is my artistic choice.7) Leadbelcher on Scarabs on cape and base.8) Corax White from Citadel (or your favorite white paint) on forehead and anywhere green will be painted, including scarabs and two teeny, tiny dots on the eyes.9) Tesseract Glow from Citadel on the white. DISCLAIMER: there are a TON of different ways to make the green look of the weapons on YouTube. I just cut corners to make it tabletop ready.10) Black touchups where needed (refer to box art).11) Glue cape.12) Paint your bass how you want.Take your time, thin your paints, and have fun!
