Where is this made in?

The nail clippers are made from Japanese 420j2 stainless steel and it made in China.Thanks.

How do you know what size from the chart?

first say Sorry my english not very good. Women or if men are under 185 tall they just to get small size . I bought big size for my man because his hands are very big . he is 185 tall.

Dear Valued Customer, it comes with a mental box(beautiful a gift box), Thanks for your asking and patience.

How wide do the slanted edge nail clippers open and is the slant curved or straight? i keep reading alternating words describing them.

If I understand the question they are made like any clipper is just larger and the handle is larger and smoother to use. They can do the larger nails easier. But the cutting edge is still just like all clippers.
