I purchased this for my granddaughter and me to create cakes and cupcakes together. Kootek get good reviews and they are well earned based on this purchase. This is a good kit for a beginner or someone with experience. All the basics are in here including a good turntable, for a very good price. The tools have been easy to use and work well. This would be a great gift for anyone interested in baking. And the pieces are easy to clean and should last quite a while.

Overall, I think this is a decent product. I'm new to baking and I wanted to dive into it a little more with this set. I think it's a good kit to start off, but I wish the quality of the spinning cake holder was a bit better. When I tried to spread the frosting on my cake, sometimes it was hard to spin the wheel and it would get stuck (I think the cake may have been a little heavy). Other than this slight issue, I think this product is still a good purchase as a whole and a good value for those who wish to get into baking cakes.

This was much much better than what I had expected. So let me start by saying I went to Joanne, Walmart and dollar store to find different things that I need for cake decorations like piping bags, spatula etc etc. The cost was adding up quickly and as I was in Walmart (after Joanne and Dollar tree), I gave up and looked on amazon. Oh boy should have done earlier. I found this and instantly ordered it as it was so much cheaper with so so many goodies in it included. The only disappointment is that the piping bags are very low quality and so are plastic spatulas but overall great deal that you cant beat...

The cake turner works pretty well. The ball bearings are smooth and despite being made of plastic, has held up for over a year. The tools that come with it are not high-quality. They work but if you plan on making cakes regularly you may want to look into alternatives. The metal for the off set spatulas and spreaders are very thin and don't seem to be set in the plastic handle securely. The plastic spreaders and decorating tools are very flimsy. The tips for piping are pretty good and have held up. No rusting observed yet but I make sure to clean them after use and don't leave them soaking in water. The piping bags however are not high-quality. They leak and are made of a thin plastic. Will they work in a pinch? Yes. But if you need to pipe a stiff buttercream and make elaborate decorations, make sure you are prepared to have back up plans in place. Overall, great as an economical starter kit. Not a kit you want to plan on passing down to your offspring because it probably won't last that long.

12 year old girl needed absolutely no help in setting it up. The first cake came out a bit rough, but the 15+ cakes since then look better and better. She spends hours on it and have heard not a single complaint. I'll add some pictures of her latest creations. It looks cheap, but at the cost and ease of use, it's worth every penny. Good luck finding it in stock though :(
