I did not realize that there was a cord attaching these 2 lanterns to each other and to a battery box.I just wanted to use them as pictured, not with a wire to have to hide.Otherwise, they are cute.

These are adorable - they look exactly like the photo, unlike other Dept 56 items I've purchased on Amazon. They run on C batteries, which last forever for the little lanterns.

It is battery operated so you don't have to worry about trying to hide a cord. It sets up easily. A very nice addition to my fall festival village.

This will be a gift for my husband and I think he will be happy with it. We collect the haunted village and these lights will go perfectly with it.

I used them in 2018 and they worked great. Got them out for 2019 display only to find the wires had S eparated and broken. I've reordered and hope the next set is more sturdy. Buy with caution and be sure to store carefully - seems really fragile.
