those are metal rulers in good quality, the size is perfect for elementary/intermediate students for their math work. please note they're only in centimeters, no inches.

Unbelievable quality for the price
I was hesitant to pull the trigger on this one, since it seemed like you're getting a lot for your money, but was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of each item. No rough edges, no bad markings, nothing at all to complain about. Satisfies customer!

The media could not be loaded. Good size to use with my bullet journal. I feel like they smudge less than the plastic ones, but sometimes i still get smudges. that’s more my fault probably. having the case is nice, i know i won’t lose them.

Handy for various chores
My hobby in retirement is modeling miniatures. Measurements have to be carefully made and accurate in execution. The smaller the item or measurement, if inaccurate, means a do-over -- as many times as it takes to get it right. This is the first basic drafting tool set I've had since high school, and it's a delight -- accurate, useful, handy. Wouldn't trade it for the best coon dawg in Miz-zippi!
