My daughter just started riding and these pants in XS fit her perfectly. I actually ended up ordering a second pair. Fit great and quality is nice.

We got this pants for my horseback-riding child, who spend 5 or 6 days a week at the local stables. Therefore, we can always use more riding pants. We have a variety of products from Dover Saddlery, Ariat and others. These are on the more basic, stretch fabric side vs. some of the show-ready pants we have. And that's fine... We don't need the fancy stuff for a regular afternoon at the barn.Overall, they seem to be comparable quality on most fronts. The fit well, are nicely protective and look good on. I suspect they will be pretty easy to care for as well.The only real downside that my child complained about is that the strength of the elastic up top isn't as high as with some of the other products we have. As such, they have to be pulled up frequently, which gets annoying and is difficult while in motion on horseback.Perhaps that's a fit issue, but otherwise they were the right size and a comparable fit to the other products we have.Otherwise, they are a good basic pair of riding pants for your kid.

These breeches are nice. They are great for horse riding. Good quality. Nice stretch to them. Fit as expected.

My 9-year-old daughter loves horses almost as much as my wife, and rides as often as is possible. While mom already has many pairs of riding pants, my daughter didn’t have any actual riding pants….having to settle for regular jeans. Gasp…Horror…such depravity. These were fairly priced and seemed like a good introduction to riding pants. She was thrilled to receive them and finally have a pair like mom. They fit well and do the job. Not much more to ask for since she is now happy as can be.

My 10 year old has lessons every week, so having an assortment of breeches is crucial. And much of what she has are hand-me-downs from her older sister, and tan. She's not a huge fan of all tan breeches, so we found these and she got to pick out blue ones, she' was very excited. They arrived quickly and she tried them on - she's 10, about 60 lbs and just under 5' tall. We ordered a small for her, based on the size chart. These fit her perfectly. On the back side, there's the sticky stuff (I'm not a horse person, so I don't know what this is called) like on her other breeches. Her ONLY complaint was there were no belt loops, but she otherwise has worn these to her last couple of lessons and she wants to order the other colors - we ordered the blue color, which is a really pretty grey/blue color. Nice to have a pair of riding pants that weren't the crazy prices that the saddle shop charges too!!

Our 9 yr old daughter has been taking riding lessons, and was begging for some riding pants to help with grip on the saddle. These were an immediate hit, and she was ecstatic over the improved grip from the siliconized horseshoe print in the thighs. The pants are quite flexible and form-fitting, and were comfortable over an hour-long lesson + surrounding car ride. For fit reference, we purchased the X-Large size for a kiddo roughly 56" tall.
