Cheap cable, cheap cable performance
Works on@ 1080p, not reliable at 1440p from a DP++ output which is less challenging than the supposed 4k @ 30Hz. Too much hassle to return ... just wish someone would actually sell decent cables instead of this bundle of wet string.

Worked like a charm on my 13.3" MacBook Air (2017)
Checked out with my new 13.3" MacBook Air connected to my TV. Worked perfectly without a hitch. It is brand new, so no idea how well it would hold up over time. But, at least for now, it's great. And, yes, I realize that this model is overkill for my MacBook Air which is neither Retina nor 4K, but it was only about $4 more than the lower performing choice, and it gives me support for future options.

Solved 4K monitor random off/on
I had an HDMI adapter connected to a normal HDMI cable and my 4K monitor kept turning off and on randomly. This cable solved the problem! Great product. Thanks!
