Efficient way to make cold brew at home. And we like the flavor better than buying bottles of premade cold brew at the grocery, not to mention the cost savings. I first tried these 5 years ago. Just love how they work to make my own cold brew. I did run into a problem early on in keeping them unclogged, but have come up with a cleaning method that works great. On a daily basis, just dump the grounds in the trash then use the sprayer at the sink to thoroughly rinse inside and out. Then put them in the dishwasher, upper rack. If they start looking grungy, I'll soak them in a bit of Urnex coffee pot cleaner for 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly and put them in the dishwasher. These seem to be the easiest and best way to make cold brew at home.

I bought this product after experiencing Cold Brew for the first time and I have NEVER looked back. Just today this product died after two years of VERY heavy use. I would brew a 64oz mason jar of Cold Brew twice a week, sometimes 3 times even, without a break and the coffee always came out pure, clean, and free of coffee bean that can sour any caffeinated journey, while maintaining a high quality of flavor that made it through. The Pro's: Easy to use! Just throw it in the jar, add 2-4 scoops of your favorite coffee (I did the Colombian Roast) and add water. Refrigerate overnight for 12 hours and you have a full pot! The Con: Cleaning it was a bit of a pain, though hardly unmanageable, and it did gain some stains from constant use. Good Product, good results, and good coffee, what more can you ask for? Would recommend!

I went through 2 Takeya cold brew coffee pitchers. The fittings and filters lasted, but the Takeya pitchers cracked, turning the whole set into a bunch of plastic trash. I'm trying to get away from plastic anyway (not to mention getting away from buying stuff that will only last a year or two). I love that this is stainless & silicone. I love that it fits a wide-mouth mason jar. I love how well-made it is: the seam is rolled and pressed tightly for a smooth finish, the bottom is fitted securely, and the mesh is very fine. I usually use it in a quart jar for fresher cold brew, but when expecting guests I make 1/2 gallon. Some reviewers say the jar lid can't fit using the gasket, or that the gasket leaks... I never had either problem. I wonder if they noticed that the gasket has a slit? It fits around the upper rim, so 1/2 thickness is between the filter and the jar lid, and 1/2 the thickness is between the underside of the filter lip and the glass jar rim. Clever, and it works perfectly.

Update: I bought a second one. The first one has lasted all this time, and I decided it is easier to clean this item than my french press, so I donated the french press. Instead, Iam using the two infusers for regular coffee in a quart jar and one for decaf in a half gallon jar. I can't review the second one for other than one or two uses. It looks similar to the original I bought a few years ago, so I expect its performance and durability to be the same. The smaller size are the most versaitile. Original review: I kept the 32 ounce one which fits a quart jar. That is the right size for most cold brew items. The first filter I bought accidentally this summer was 64 ounce, so bought a 2 quart jar. I tried both this summer. The 64 ounce was too large for me as I don't have space to use or keep it especially in the refrigerator. It was a useful measurement to drink daily liquid and I enjoyed mixing different teas in it with lemon juice and water to cold brew tea, or I put ice cubes in it with some lemon juice water for the day during the summer. That was very refreshing. If I had the space, I would have kept the 64 ounce in the refrigerator and used. The 32 oz quart size is perfect for me to store and use since I am an avid coffee drinker especially, so is perfect amount for coffee, and will use for tea and flavored water too. The overnight method of brewing was the easiest to do outside the refrigerator to have coffee or tea ready in the morning. What I have made is cold brew coffee, lemon juice and water, cucumbers and ginger water, mixed teas, and Arnold Palmers. Overall, the filter fits a jar just right, the lid closes over, and it is easy to clean. If you are dealing with ice, that has to be added after you remove the filter as there is limited room while the filter is in the jar. It is well made and there is a lot of flexibility, most especially with the 32 ounce quart size.

Very easy to get the grinds out. A bit of sediment left in the bottom of the mason jar, but if you give it a shake before pouring I don't even notice.

First, on a product itself: An extremely well built product, sturdy, cleanly welded, and uniform material, will hold its shape for years with proper use. High quality stainless steel construction. Second, on utilization: I do not use this filter for coffee or tea, as majority of others; I actually use it to sieve, and wash out an ion bonding resin, after chemical peel/cleaning w/bleach (resin is used in my aquariums to filter our nitrogen waste). The diameter of material in question (Seachem Purigen) is extremely small & uniform, just over 180 micron per granule. For best chemical peel/burn the resin must be loose, and not in a bag; for bleaching process to be most effective at regenerating/burning off waste from the resin. However, afterwards, it is necessary to sieve and rinse the resin, to remove the chlorinated mixture, and dechlorinate the whole thing - and this is where this filter/sieve comes in. With 150 micron uniform structure it is perfect in preserving the expensive resin and allows for continuous rinsing with minimal loss. Considering that the cost of resin is high, $50 per liter, loss during rinsing can be quite substantial. I have spent months researching, trying to find a perfectly uniform stainless steel sieve at a reasonable cost, and this item is it. I am fairly certain, based on quality of construction this item can be used for any number of other chemical or lab operations. And, considering how well it does with resin, I am sure it does quite well with Coffee and tea-making :-)

I bought this item on June 1, 2018. It was delivered promptly and I immediately put it to use. I am not a coffee drinker but drink tea, daily (both hot and cold). My favorite type of tea is masala chai. I make up a half gallon at a time. I boil the tea five minutes, add the whole milk, then bring to a boil, again. Then I pour it from the pan into the half gallon wide mouth mason jar that has "the tube" inside. I use the infuser as a filter. Hardly anything gets through the tube. It is extremely well made. In addition to filtering even the fine stuff, it is EXTREMELY easy to clean. After filling the mason jar, I slip the tube out (using my rubber insulated grill gloves as the boiling water is HOT). I gently dump the "grounds" into the waste basket and simply rinse the tube under the hot water faucet. It cleans so easily (not like other infuser's I have used. I like this so much that I recently bought another one for a friend. It also works extremely well as a direct infuser for bulk whole leaf tea for cold brewing. Yeah, I have both Masala Chai AND cold brewed British Blend for both iced tea and hot tea in the frig at all times. Hey! Who knows when a friend might drop by(:>)).

Definitely a much more substantial and harder-wearing product than it's much cheaper Chinese-sourced equivalent (I have bought both). However the cheaper one achieves effectively the same degree of filtration, it would appear... I liked the guidance and free downloadable book with this.

Works exactly as described: cold brew concentrate overnight. Note: don't set this up right at bedtime; I find I need to stir the grounds about an hour in, because a lot of them have floated to the top and aren't soaking fully. Leaves a bit of sediment in the bottom but nothing you can't let settle and pour off from. I find PC regular grind coffee is good enough for me using this; no need to spring for $20 / pound stuff.

I started making cold brew coffee a few months ago using a nut milk bag and mason jar. I found this setup to be messy, slow, and difficult to keep grounds from appearing in the finished product. I picked up the Tube+ and couldn’t be happier! It’s super easy to use, strains well, and is a cinch to clean. My cold brewhad never looked or tasted better!

This handy cold brew coffee maker works brilliantly. It is easy to use and easy to clean.

Works as advertised, though I would suggest to use paper filter after the brew, to get rid of fine particles (lots of them in the drink). Other than that - this is great product. By the way, The Tube fits perfectly into 1L jar from the Adams peanut butter. I didn't have any mason jars of the necessary size, so this jar was a savior.
