I needed to solder a couple of small wires and I'd previously used a cigarette lighter which was most difficult to control. So got this heat gun instead and it was perfect for both soldering wires using solder seal sleeves and heat shrinking a sleeve over the soldered areas. The heat output on the low setting was all I needed and the deflector screen was great too, though for good measure I turned the wires over to ensure a good solder seal.

Liked the small size of this unit which is able to supply an almost instant source of heat on heat shrink tubing over joints. I used the supplied shield which did the job in seconds

Produces the heat advertised well. Would be good if it was provided with a narrow nozzle attachment so the hot air could be directed accurately. Anyhow for the price quite decent.

To melt heat shrink wire connectors. Does the job. Ideal for using in thick looms.

I bought this for use with heat shrink for wiring work on a classic car. Previously I'd used a soldering iron or a lighter. It works well and quick too.

Look’s value for the money not tried it yet.

I’ve got a good number of KAIWEETS products now and they’ve always been up to the task while costing less than a lot of the big-name brands out there. This small heat gun lives up to that reputation, it arrives in a small branded cardboard box with a metal ‘reflector’ nozzle and a set of decent multi-language instructions. It's a shame that there isn’t a storage bag or case, but there aren’t a lot of small pieces to worry about, just the heat gun and the nozzle which can be left attached.It all feels well enough built for general use in a range of hobbies that don’t require precise temperature control. I’ve had great success using it for ‘solderless’ splices, heatshrink, heatshrink labels, and for removing stress marking from ABS 3D prints. For anything that you just want to blast with a bit of heat, this gun will be more than adequate, but if you want more than two temperature and airflow options this may not be the best choice. However, for the money at £16.99 I have no complaints, it's small, lightweight, and quick to heat up to a usable temperature.When I unpacked everything at first I didn’t think that the supplied nozzle reflector tip was going to fit without modification but it pops right onto the nozzle with a bit of effort. It holds tightly in place and can be adjusted in angle and distance from the heat gun’s nozzle.Happy to recommend, the price is within reason and is comparable to other 450-500 watt units of this size and capability. Of course, there are some generic no-name rebrands of similar units that do the exact same job for anything between £12-20 if you really want to save a few quid. The £16.99 pricing is the only reason I haven’t given this a full five stars, especially due to the fact that this is identical to my much cheaper £8 unit direct from China.

May be small however it’s performance is awesome, very impressed.

Works as expected. The pink portion has a rubbery grip to it. The 2 speeds are nice and heats up quickly. Great for vinyl, wood burning gel projects.

Voici un bon petit décapeur thermique assez compact et dont la prise en main est simple et pratique.Il permet d'aller faire des petits travaux de décapage de précision, pas mal pour les coins, par exemple.Il est évidemment plus compact et précis qu'un décapeur classique de taille supérieure.C'est clairement conçu pour les gaines thermorétractables si vous avez des petits travaux d'électricité à effectuer. Très bien. Remplit son usage à la perfection.
