Purchased as a gift for my husband, it arrived safely and well packaged. He was very impressed with it and he plays regularly.

Adapts to the way you play gives you a good challenge

The Board has been spoiled by the Notation on every square I ended up putting black and white paper dots over them as the Board just looked daft with too much going on, obviously they are there to make the squares easeir to find but to be honest if your struggling to find the correct square you should give up chess as it gets a lot harder to learn than that.

A very neat-looking chess computer and a definite a step-up from its predecessor, the M810. Less bulky, not as plasticky, nicer pieces, better board pressure sensitivity and a great upgraded colour display. It's well worth getting for all these things if you're looking to upgrade. You will, though, find that the software gives you very much the same playing experience as the earlier version. And that's good because Millennium definitely have their act together in producing chess computers that suit players of widely different levels. Okay, if you're at a standard above around 1800elo you probably wouldn't find this too challenging quite quickly, but for the rest of us mere mortals it's a worthwhile opponent and not too demoralising on the easier settings. If this is to be your first chess computer you won't go far wrong. It's a gem for the money.

Kanonbra schackdator, jättenöjd! Ett litet minus är att start/stopp-ljudet är lite väl högt, men det går att stänga av det, och då stängs tyvärr även ljudet av för dragen.

Me ha gustado mucho la forma de jugar de este ajedrez electrónico, pues parece que estás jugando talmente contra un humano, y no hace los movimientos absurdos que por ejemplo hacen los bots de chess.com o Lichess. El nivel del juego es alto, así que si tu nivel es bajo, te aconsejo que desactives que el computador utilice los dos libros de aperturas que tiene y dsactiva también que "piense" de forma continua, pues en este modo el ordenador sigue pensando durante tu tiempo de juego. Pon también el modo de juego "Entretenido" que es el más fácil, aunque tiene 9 niveles. Por otra parte, además de diversos modos de juego tiene tres estilos diferentes, normal, agresivo o defensivo, por lo que combinando todos estos estilos tienes infinitas posibilidades. Me ha gustado también el modo que puedes activar una opción de tutor en que te advierte de movimientos que cree erróneos por tu parte, y también, cuando no sabes qué pieza mover, puedes pedirle consejo. También puedes retroceder movimientos y guardar y cargar varias partidas. En fin, me ha parecido un dispositivo interesantisimo para cualquier apasionado al ajedrez que disfrute jugando partidas offline, contra un ordenador que reacciona como un humano. (mis felicitaciones a los programadores) Los únicos inconvenientes vienen derivados de su pequeño tamaño: piezas y tablero pequeñitos a los que tienes que acostumbrarte, pero todo es a cambio de una gran portabilidad.También está el hecho de que los movimientos del ordenador los tienes que hacer tú, moviendo las piezas, siguiendo el esquema que aparece en la pantallita que tiene a todo color. También me hubiera gustado que incluyera una cajita rígida para guardar las piezas en vez de la bolsa de tela incluida, que es un poco fea. Ah! ...Y el idioma de los menús de pantalla se pueden poner en español!

Wir haben den Schachcomputer in der Familie im Einsatz, unser Kleiner lernt gerade Schach im 2ten Jahr. Kurzum, wir sind sehr, sehr zufrieden: + schaut wirklich schick aus, flach und modern + angenehme Größe: Das Gerät ist in etwa so groß wie ein A4 Blatt, das Schachbrett selbst nimmt dabei die komplette Breite ein. + Die Figuren passen sehr gut zur Brettgröße, gute Spielübersicht. Tolle Magneten! Man kann sie nicht aus Versehen umschmeißen + Figurenbeutel ist dabei! + Der Hauptpunkt für uns: Spitzen-Farbdisplay! Wir haben auch noch zwei ältere Schachcomputer, einer davon mit Display, einer ganz ohne. Das Gerät ohne Display ist kaum bedienbar und liegt nur rum, der andere ist zwar OK, aber reizt nun die Kinder nicht wirklich dazu, mal selbstständig damit zu spielen. Beim ChessGenius Pro ist es nun so, dass selbst der Kleine mit seinen 6 Jahren das Gerät komplett selbst bedienen kann. Einmal gezeigt, welche Menü-Punkte er braucht (neues Spiel und Tipp ;-) ) und er kann komplett alleine spielen. Statt Spielkonsole Schachcomputer - finden wir super. Die Spielstärke haben wir aufs unterste Level gestellt, damit gewinnt er leicht. Wenn er nicht weiter weiß, kommt einfach die Tipp Funktion zum Einsatz und damit denkt der Computer für ihn weiter. Ich denke, er wird damit recht schnell Fortschritte machen. Manchmal spielt er auch schon gegen seinen größeren Bruder, auch hier hilft der Computer und spielt den "Schiedsrichter". Durch das Schachbrett im Display und die farbigen Markierungen bekommt er jede Menge Hilfe, Zugmöglichkeiten, Warnungen. Cool auch die Sounds, der Applaus am Spiel Ende ist genial, der Kleine jubelt dann immer mit, wenn er mit COmputerhilfe mal wieder gewonnen hat. Daher aus unserer Sicht: Rundum gelungen, und aufgrund der Spielstärken-Einstellungen und der leichten Bedienung echt ein Gerät für die ganze Familie.
