These are exactly as difficult to put onto your scooter as the other reviews say. The fit is TIGHT like a TIGER. If I had been the one to do it, I might hate them. Luckily my bulging muscular husband refused to let the darn tires win against him. I think it took all night for him to figure it out. Our house ended up smelling like hot rubber. But that was A Husband Problem (thanks hunny), whereas My Problem has been riding on the wheels. They are great. No more flats. Fair price. Very firm, so it does ride a little squirrely until you get used to it, and bumps feel bumpier. They roll better so you'll maintain your speed better -- maybe this will save a spot of battery life too? I've put about fifty miles on them now and they're quite durable so far. I would get these again, but only if my husband is up for the battle. Might be cool if they had flames on the side to improve the appearance, but I'd like flames on everything.

Excellent product

These tires are well made and after installing, the ride of the scooter was very much improved and super smooth. Installation takes a little effort but really wasn't that hard. Installed both in less than 10 minutes after boiling. Watch a few vids on YouTube and follow the directions and you can do this. I boiled them for the full 20 minutes. Used plenty of dawn dish soap to lube up the rims and tires and a few long screw drivers to pop them on to the wheels. If it isn't completely straight when you first get it on the wheel, use a screwdriver or tire iron to pop the tire up a bit from the opposite side that is sticking up and it will settle into place. Really was a lot easier than expected to get these on.

Great product and works for a Gotrax G4 scooter. As all the other reviews say it was a massive pain to install as solid rubber doesn’t really like to bend that much. However after all the work the peace of mind I have knowing I won’t have to worry about flats is nice. Do know that because it’s solid rubber it will not absorb impact as well as an air filled tire and the ride will be a bit rougher. However I think the trade off is worth it for not having to worry about a flat ever again.

I want to give these tires a fair review because honestly they're totally worth the effort if you understand how to properly install them. First of all, make sure that you order the correct size tires that fit your rims. Guessing doesn't cut it. These tires are a precision fit item and installing the wrong size tire will most definitely land you in the emergency room! What's in the box? Two (2) tires and One (1) Tire Iron. Tools required? A decent pair of thick Lamont brand leather gloves, the tire iron included with your purchase and a flat sturdy work bench or covered table top. Choosing the right Gloves is very important, because you are handling "a very hot smelly tire" and you're going to feel the heat radiating from the tire through your gloves as you work. Dont kid yourself, it's going to be somewhat painful but your gloves will protect your hands from becoming blistered. Tire Direction? The tires you purchased will have a small directional ARROWS on the sides. Draw a black arrow on your rim with a sharpie and make sure both arrows match. If you accidentally put the tire on the rim backwards, good luck getting the tire off the rim once you have already mounted it. ¹ Before ordering... Take your wheel off, remove the old tire/tube and measure the inside width of your rim. If you're not good at converting decimals to fractions do your due diligence and find a calculator online that does accurate conversions. ² Measure and re-measure your tires height and width and buy replacement tires that are absolutely identical to what you are removing. If you can't find the exact same size tire, keep searching until you do or ask a friend for help. ³ If you have a shop microwave that's terrific, but if you have to use the microwave in your kitchen, then heat up your tires when everyone's gone because you kitchen and especially the microwave will smell like a tire shop afterwards. ⁴ Very important. Layer several sheets of paper towels inside your microwave and place your tire on top of it. Heat up only one (1) flat free tire at a time for Five minutes @ One minute intervals. After each minute, open the microwave door and flip the tire over wearing your leather gloves. After cooking each tire for a total of five minutes, your tire will be hot and slightly smoking. The tire should be fairly pliable and reasonably flimsy. * Put on your leather GLOVES if you're not already wearing them! ⁵ Time is of the essence, so you got to work quick getting the tire on the rim asap or you'll have to cook it again in the microwave for another minute or two. Sooner the easier it will be to install them, but you only have a couple minutes. If you lollygag at all, the tire will become considerably less pliable and more difficult to stretch into place over the rim. Honestly, it wasn't exactly a pleasant experience, but getting the tire on the rim was actually pretty easy. No lubricant or tools required. Just my gloved hands, a bit of muscle, aggressive determination and perseverance. ⁶ Working on a flat surface, press the RIM into the tire and quickly stretch the hot tire over the lip until it's fully mounted. If it doesn't stretch easily then it's probably not hot enough. ⁷ Now, flip the mounted tire over and with your tire iron, gently push the bead with the lines on it beneath the rim all the way around. The lines im describing will look like this... ///////////////////////////. * When complete, both sides of the tire will appear identical. ⁸ That's it, you did it. Congratulations! Now go heat up your other tire and mount the other side. ⁹ As for the stinky microwave in the the kitchen that reeks of burnt tire. Stir in two (2) TABLESPOONS of real cinnamon inside a coffee cup prefilled with hot water. Place the cup on top of the paper towels inside your microwave and cook it for at least three minutes. This is the one time that you actually want the contents to boil over and make a big steamy mess inside your oven. Afterwards simply let everything cool down, wipe up the mess and your microwave will smell of cinnamon, not a raspy tire shop. (Your wife and family will never know.)
