It’s a plant pot. What do you expect?
Straight forward enough to use, I put 4 on to a standard drain pipe with some tailing lobelias in.After reading other reviews I can confirm:Yes you can put plants in before hanging, it is a little fiddly but not impossible (or even terribly difficult)Yes it does stay on a standard drainpipeAs for being to small? Huh? Well I guess it depends on what you are planting. Great for hanging basket type flowers, not suitable for trees. My only gripe is that the sellers definition of terracotta appears to be wildly different from mine. More like a plum colour in my opinion.

Didn't fit the downpipe
Bought these for a downpipe at the front of the house. Tried multiple times to get them to stay on, but they are so fiddly to get the strap to attach through and then trying to get the wedges to stay in, the whole thing was just plain annoying. In the edge, I have just screwed them to a fence somewhere else which is a waste of money as I could easily have got pots for that for a quid each in the local bargain shop. The plastic they are made of are is really sturdy and pre-drilled holes in the base mean they are ready to go. That was the only thing that was a positive for me.

Great product
These are so lovely. A nice colour and look great with my strawberries I'm them in summer. Needs an extra cable tie to hold in place, but I think that's just because where I put them is in a corner where they don't quite fit! But I'd absolutely recommend as they are a great size. Strawberries are already growing back now and plan on getting more for some trailing tomatoes

Perfect for Caravan Decking
Bought these to replace similar ones I'd had for last 10 years. We have them on the outer side of the decking at our caravan. They're plastic and I wouldn't use them at home, but are perfect for what we are using them for. They fit on square posts and although fiddly to attach, once they're in place they don't go anywhere! And once the flowers grow over the edges you hardly see them anyway! I agree with another reviewer that the colour is not quite terracotta - much darker, but still nice (and a nicer colour in my opinion).

Pretty when full of flowers
Yes, they were a bit tricky to put up. I planted them up first, then held them in place while my other half secured them. They’re pretty sturdy though and have been in place since March, good going considering all the strong winds we’ve had! They look lovely with my homegrown pansies in which have flourished this year. The question is what to put in them next year?!

Not such a Neat Idea after all
Not really so Neat. Ok if you're a contortionist, trying to use the plastic cable to hang the planters on a downpipe. And then trying to put the plants in (as it can't be done before the planters are in place). And even then the fiddly wedges don't stop the things from sliding down the pipe. Grrrr.

Pretty planter pots
I used this to put around the base of my banana parasol. It fits beautifully however I didn’t use the fittings provided as I didn’t understand how they worked, so used zip ties instead
