The brushes are a great deal and are sturdy and work good.

I have an old vintage Goody brush and i cannot find a replacement. I use it to fluff my bangs and wanted a 2nd one for my purse. This was as close as I've found. The bristles are much stiffer and the plastic is harder but it is the same size. Not what i had but will do!

These brushes are a little scratchy for sensitive scalps with thinner hair, but I haven't heard any complaints yet from my LO. They may be good for thicker hair because the bristles are on the stiff side.I didn't want boar bristles and these are a good size and value. You can never have too many brushes with kids.

When I looked at the post I felt like they were bigger. My bad for not reading the description. There okay to leave around but the don't get into your hair. I feel like i'm combing only the surface of my hair if you know what I mean.

My daughters are murder on hair brushes. The dang things either evaporate, or they hate them.The six year old can actually hold these correctly to brush her own hair, and they're not too rough on tangles, but they also actually BRUSH the hair all the way to the scalp-- not just fold over.I ordered the first batch basically because they looked like one my grandmother had when I was a little girl, but in more colors. (Grandma's was that white that's supposed to look like mother of pearl or maybe marble swirls.) I remembered it had actually gotten the smooth, properly brushed effect that my mom swore was the goal of brushing your hair before bed. Something about bringing the oil from the scalp.Whatever, these manage it, there's not as much static, they're wildly inexpensive and the girls love the colors.

The quality of these is like what you'd find at a party supplies store - the bristles are the wrong kind of plastic, so that won't "get in there", and bend (and remain bent, permanently).They are not full sized - the entire brush is 5.75" long (not just the handle). That was, temporarily, a pleasant surprise, since I bought them for use as a "beard brush", and they are the perfect size for that, but it's a moot point, since they are garbage and don't work.

These items I purchased to donate to a charity and I know the children will truly enjoy these. It was a good deal for the price and the brushes are durable.
