Dont get this if are used to a full sized, or looks great but does not have the best functionality
If you are looking to get this I would recommend being accustom to using a smaller keyboard or maybe keeping a second keyboard with you when you are not gaming. This keyboard does not have and customization pr macros what you see is what you get and if you are thinking of getting keycaps you better memorize where your keys are, for example to press at you have to hold shift+fn+w . But for gaming it is great other than the numbers requiring fn.The blue led is alright, I dont use it much but I guess of you like that it's good. The switches feel great not too light. One of the main concerns I am having with it is looking for keycaps that match the layout. If you are looking for some I would recommend waiting for a drop or going on kbd fans and looking at some there.Personally I like this keyboard but if you have been using a full sized for a while I would not recommend this at all, you would be better off using a random 65 percent since you get most of the keys you would want.

Really nice keyboard, but...
Hardware wise, this is the best keyboard I've ever had. The problem is the layout (exactly as shown). If you're a linux/vim user, the layout is very poor. After trying to get some use out of it, the layout design obviously puts great importance to the navigation keys: up, down, right, left, pgup, pgdn, and enter. The layout moves into a chord of shift/fn/key the characters : and ". I think the layout's target user is someone filling forms online.

Practice with this to get used to the different layout
Here is a short and quick review:- The Gateron reds feel great to type on! They feel smooth with very little effort to push.- The layout takes a little bit to get used to so muscle memory will take some time to readjust. I have been using this keyboard for a few hours(just arrived today) and have improved my typing speed from 12 wpm to 31 wpm and will be back to my normal around the mid 40's with a few more days of practice. The hardest two keys to get used to are the right shift and the backspace but I have only noticed it being more difficult in typing tests. In normal typing, it seems just fine.- The build quality is nice and feels much sturdier than the average cheap office keyboards.Overall, I would recommend this to anyone that was looking for an entry-level 40% keyboard.

Nice compact on the go board
Wanted to try this board out, and save even more space on my desk at work..since I only have a literal square of space to work in.Overall great keyboard for the price and compactness....but for me (a developer) it is too time consuming to learn all the shortcuts to get to keys like (< > " " : ; = ). This keyboard is better for an on the go solution for general typing, not programming/writing code. Mind you, with time and patience it could still work out for that, but I don't think right now is optimal.Love the different back-lighting featuresLove the Gateron red, I think they feel much better than the brown when typing.Love the compactnessLove that it comes in black vs white, looks sleek with the back-light in black. Also like that the keys on this board don't really bottom out or sound as loud as the keys on my 68 from this brand. Not sure if it is just because of the different switch or construction of the case, but this version seems more solid in design.

Amazing Keyboard. 10/10
The red genuine gateron switches are soft and not too loud, low actuation force compared to my old browns. The guy who gave this a 2 star review has no idea how to use a computer. Dont worry about the shift key where the spacebar goes, just download Auto Hot Key and run a script that says "rshift::space" without the quotation marks. I added rubber o rings to decrease the actuation depth and to make it more quiet. In the future, I will be upgrading the keycaps to double shot pcp. The lighting modes are cool, and it dims as well. The layers are easy to get a hold of, and in the box is a guide in case you cant find a certain key. I love this, even compared to my old magicforce 60% with brown switches. Though i must warn you, red switches are not for everyone. If you have brick fingers, you may want a different switch. All that being said, this is my most favorite keyboard ever.

This is for 60% keyboard enthusiasts. Know what you're getting into...
I'll assume you already know what you're looking for. This is a tiny, number-less keyboard. It is not for the fat fingered, mistake-prone typist. Trying to type out your last minute, late night essay will only frustrate you. Now, for what it is, it's pretty great! Compact - it'll fit in your purse or backpack just fine - for travel. The red switches are perfect for gaming, and are very sensitive, with great stroke travel distance. I don't think the lighting is rgb, but it's plenty bright enough and has several modes.Just get used to the fact you'll be dealing with fn combos, or setting up lots of macros, and I think you'll really be happy with this keyboard. For the price, it can't be beat. My wife hates it, my kids hate it, but I love it. So they can just get gud!

A Very Fine Keyboard
I initially thought that this keyboard would slow my typing. But, once the key combos were learned, my typing speed actually increased! Certain characters however, will always be slower than a full keyboard. For instance, % or & because those characters require 3 simultaneous keys. So far the Gateron "knockoff" switches are doing very well. I actually prefer them to Cherry MX switches. The Gaterons seem smoother and although I did not measure it, the side play seems less. We will see how long the laser etched black key paint lasts. I have some doubts about that.
