Q: Does the silicone item retain the cooking smell from item cooked? If so, hoe do you get odor out?

Mine arrived, yesterday, and it smells VERY strongly of something like washing powder. Washing and airing didn’t remove it and I baked it at 160 degrees (convection) for 10min and the smell went through the house, even with the back door and window were open (in kitchen). It’s not 100% silicone, so the smell is likely to be from the plastic used as the filler. I’m disgusted with OXO and won’t be purchasing anything else with their brand name on it.

Although I don't have a yes or no answer, I do have two suggestions. First, search for it on Amazon by specifically typing in 'OXO Silicone lid for Instant Pot' and second, check on the OXO website at: https://www.oxo.com

Q: Can you use roasting rack for eggs

you could but OXO makes a yellow one that is better for eggs #11244700

Q: will this fit in the 3 quart instant pot?

It will not fit my 3 quart instant pot!
