Trekking Pole Tip Protectors

Great wee things but I feel they're a bit pricey for what they are. Give great protection to the end of the poles though and the fit well!

Does the job, and lasts well; I use the 'Tech Tips' on my pole, and cover them with these.

These almost fitted the Black Diamond poles but we did need to fatten the poles with a strip of paper so that the fit was sufficiently tight to be secure. Otherwise, they look right for the job and arrived faster than we had expected.

The Poles arrived on time. Really well made. I love being able to adjust them to whatever height is needed. I have been constantly using them on walks and find them most useful on an incline as I can be 'lazy' and use them to push me up.

My wife uses sticks and finds them essential for flat hard surfaces. They also mean the sticks are quiet in use. Easy to take off when going cross country and need the spikes. Easy to get jammed in grating, ie..greenhouses and factories etc. A few days late in delivery.

Excellent service first of all. They arrived quickly. I applied them to the Black Diamond Trail poles intending to do a 22 mile walk through rough moorland, bog, peat hags etc. I didn't realise these were just slip-ons until they arrived. Nothing to screw them on with. As descending a steep slushy, boggy bank to ford a river the tip from one pole went missing into the boggy slush. I did my best James Herriott impression sinking the fingers, hand & forearm in trying to find it but it will be there forever. The tip that remained did well. Unless you are staying on flat pavements I would recommend choosing a pair of technical tips (which screw in) instead.

Do the job, have ordered more for other relatives' walking poles. There is tension between rubber ferrules providing better grip, but wear out very quickly (may be just a few days) and plastic ones last much longer. A national park ranger correctly pointed out we should use ferrules to reduce path erosion, the sharp metal points should only be used on ice in winter.

Bought to go onto black diamond trekking poles to make walking on hard surfaces more comfortable . Shame they don’t get supplied with the poles as they really are essential. So far wearing well and fit well.Not cheap so hope they last well .
