Portobello CM04568 Sandringham Forest Bird Song Bone China Mug

I like my tea. I REALLY like my tea. However, tea goes cold when busy busy at work. Whilst this mug is not designed for insulation, because it is china, it seems to retain heat longer. It is biiig, so fits loads of lovely tea.The design is beautiful. Striking yet delicate. I am so enamoured of this mug I am contemplating buying a few more of different designs to make a set for home! I love Asian design and whilst this cup is reminiscent of that, it also has a lovely vintage feel. A really important point I have not mentioned, is that the handle is great! Because it is positioned well and slightly wider than average, it is so easy to hold, even with my gimpy hands! Love, love, love this mug!

I love giant tea cups, but it's hard to find them without saucers (which just get in the way, as far as I'm concerned). This is beautiful - fabulous range of designs to choose from, feels lovely to hold and holds plenty of tea. And it goes in the dishwasher! What more can you ask for?!Be aware that it arrives with a sticky label on it - but soaking for a good long while (think hours rather than minutes) in soapy water and the label came off without any problem and left no marks at all.

Bought this after using the same cup at Mum's (different pattern) & falling in love with it. It's a good size if, like me, you like a generous sized cuppa, though I keep mine exclusively for my bedtime Hot chocolate. There's something very comforting about wrapping your hands around an oversized cup on a cold winter's night (& it works just as well in summer!) Love the design, so pretty & lots of people have asked where to get one since they've seen mine, so I'm hoping with all the designs available we won't all have matching cups! It's also very good quality, not this porous stuff that chips in seconds.

For someone who loves to eat but can't be bothered to drink this is a good solution. My hubby calls this my bucket!The only reason it dropped a star is that it is not my favourite design - at a glance it looks like a big, black blob but it is actually a beautifully designed flower. I think it needs to be lighter in colour so that the details may be seen and maybe a background colour that provides less of a stark contrast - but it was cheaper than most of the others so why would I complain?

For this price there had to be a catch - made in China. However, they are great mugs/cups, a larger size than normal, easy to hold and pleasant to drink from; safely go in dishwasher. Not sure, however, if the design will eventually chip away. Wish we could buy UK-made even though they would more expensive.

I purchased number of designs They are very pretty. Well made light weight easy to hold. Only problem the outer box is very flimsy and two of cups broken. The cups were very well wrapped. I myself would propose that a layer of tape around box for extra support would help.

Beautiful, elegant mug. Much larger than anticipated. The design is vibrant and the finish is excellent. The butterfly inside the mug is extremely pretty also. My only complaint is that they were two sticky labels on the outside of the mug which were extremely difficult to remove. However, removing these hasn’t damaged the pattern on the mug at all. I will definitely order this brand again.

I bought this for my Mum who loves gardening and nature. It was wrapped in bubble wrap and arrived in a cardboard box. Mum says it is beautiful and the colours are vibrant. Mum says it is light to the touch and just the right size. A great purchase.
