A decent heat gun, for an okay price.
I've had this heat gun for two years now, I've only used it a handful of times and it has worked well, hard to say if the quality would hold up if I used it more regularly. As I see it, I view it as value for money based on my usage. My only complaint, which is somewhat minor, albeit annoying, is that the dial/temperature indicator bar doesn't actually have the temperature values printed on it (as shown in the listing photos). This would have been incredibly useful rather that just using guesswork as to what it is set at, so it is a little odd that it hasn't been included in the actual production of the heat gun. All in all, if you want a cheapish heat gun with pretty decent build quality, I think you could do worse. Also, it's probably worth mentioning that I have had no issues personally with the attachments not fitting properly like other reviewers, so it seems to be a bit hit and miss on that front.

Well, what a brilliant thing this is!
My 25 year old very basic Black & Decker heat gun finally died in a puff of smoke last week. So browsing through the hundreds of heat guns available I ordered this one because 1. It was cheap. 2. It had variable heT control whi h my old one didn't. Well, I'm so pleased with it. I've used it several times already for scraping paint and bending plastic sheets and it's just brilliant. I didn't think the temperature control would be that useful but how surprised am I. It's a delight to be able to set the temperature to the melting point of whatever material you're using it on. 👌 It's a very robust unit with simple rocker switch operation for fan speed and a dial for temperature control. I used it for the best part of an hour while shaping some thermoplastic and the body stayed cool throughout. It's powerful too. I reckon on full chat it would probably melt aluminium and potentially could make rusted steel nuts glow red!. I will try this in due course and update here with the results.

Decent Heat Gun with Useful Accessories
This heat gun works reasonably well for general DIY jobs and comes with a good range of extra nozzles and attachments, which is a nice bonus for the price. It heats up fairly quickly and the adjustable temperature settings are useful depending on the task. The main downside for me is that it doesn’t seem to get quite as hot or feel as powerful as my previous heat gun, especially for tougher jobs like paint removal. Overall, still a decent kit for lighter DIY use, but if you’re used to a more powerful model you may notice the difference.

Heat Gun Easy to Use and Works
I had a old set of stair to remove paint from, top 2 layers were mine, but the bottom had this gooie almost rubberized base which took a lot of removing using the the heat gun and other tool. With 13 stairs it took a lot of time, and I was concerned the workload would be too much, but it wasn't. Following instruction for start-up & Shut down, were ok. While using gun sometimes one hand would touch the switch to set it to I or Off, but got back to II and carried on with no issues. Only did the horizontals, left the verticals alone, just repaint them, but the 13 steps were stained with Mahogany 4 times followed by Floor varnish, also 4 times. Came up rather nice.
