What I like about this lens adaptoer:1) Compact size and light weight. It adds very small length/thickness to the overall lens length, unlike some of the bulky lens adapters from the camera vendors. It doesn't add much of weight either. It doesn't destroy the ergonomics of the overall lens and camera combination.2) Easy to use. Install and uninstall are easy, both for the adapter to cameras and lens to the adapter.3) Autofocus, aperture, shutter speed are all controllable. They works well.4) I tested Viltrox 16/1.8 FE and 20/2.8 of Sony E mount to Nikon Z7II. It worked really well. The things that didn't work were the LCD display as well as the function buttons of 16/1.8. Comparing to being able to use the lenes on Nikon cameras, this is nothing. I am very happy about the results. In fact, Viltrox is not listed on the web page as supported lens. That makes it even better.5) I tested Sony 20-70/4 on Nikon Z7II and was happy with the results too.Overall, this is an excellent lens adapter if you own Sony and Nikon systems. Even if you only use Nikon cameras, it can greatly expand your lens selection because there are so many more lens for Sony in the market. Highly recommend it!...I recently tested this with Tamron 50-400mm E mount on Nikon Z7ii with this adapter. Worked like a charm! This adapter is quite liberating and a big money saver. It will significantly reduce the costs of owning both Nikon and Sony systems.

（2024年2月追記）　Neewerのサイトを見たら、既にファームウェアver.2.54があったのでバージョンアップしてみた。やり方は取説P23の通りだ。下記の通り、ver.2.53ではタムロンVCとの相性にやや難ありだったが、この最新バージョンではほぼ問題無くなっている。パフォーマンスでもMegadap ETZ21pro(ver.1.33)に肩を並べたと言って良いだろう。ともかく購入したら、まずファームウェアのバージョンを確認し、必要ならアップデートを！（2024年1月のファーストインプレッション）　レビュアーは既に、同種のアダプターであるMegadap ETZ21proを介して、タムロンのＥマウントレンズをニコンで使っている。手元のTamron A067S(50-400mm)とA062S(20-40mm)、実はミドルクラスのαで使うよりは、ETZを噛ましてZで撮るほうがAFも連写も画のキレも良く、とても気に入っている。ただETZは厚さわずか２mｍでラフな扱いは厳禁、あまり脱着を繰り返したくないのだ。そんな中、Megadapより2割ほど安い新顔のNeewerが現れた。これが使えれば、もうこの2本はアダプター付けっ放しのZ専用にしようかと目論見、早速購入しその実力を試してみた。＊パッケージと造り　Megadapよりわずかに大きめ箱を開けると、中華アダプターにしては珍しく前後キャップ付きの本体が現れる。付属品はバージョンアップ用の専用USBケーブル、これは命綱なので絶対なくさないようにしたい。　手元のキッチンスケールに載せると45ｇ、同じく極薄ゆえ絶対的な強度は期待できないが、できる範囲でしっかり作られている。脱着レバーのデザインは、後発な分、Megadapより合理的に見える。嵌合も良好、特にマウント側の防滴をケアしているタムロンレンズは装着困難になるアダプターもあるが、これも対策が為されているから大丈夫だ。＊パフォーマンス　購入した時点のファームウェアはver. 2.53である。Tamron A067Sとの組み合わせではオートフォーカスの精度は十分、速さも明るい屋外ならVXD駆動らしい瞬発力を味わえる。暗所での合焦は「スパッ」とはいかず「スーッ」という感じで少々時間がかかるが、これはA067Sの集光力のせい。どちらにせよ、AFの挙動だけならMegadapに遜色ないレベルだと感じた。はっきり違うのは手振れ補正、特にレンズ側のVC作動中のファインダー像だ。元々タムロンVCの手振れ補正像の見せ方は独特なのだが、NeewerだとAF-ONの瞬間に二、三度ガタガタッと左右に視野が揺れた後で安定する。ファインダー像の見え方から撮影結果が心配になるが、多少フレーミングがズレる程度で、ちゃんと写ってはいる。これがMegadapだと、その過敏な挙動の抑え方がこなれているため、撮っていて安心感がある。とは言え、手振れ補正時の見栄え以外はほぼ共通運用できそうなので、とりあえずレビュアー的には、MegadapはVC付きのA067S用、NeewerはVCが無いA062S用に使い分けようかと思っている。こうなるともうαのボディは要らないかも…。なおMegadapの場合は、ファームウェアのバージョンアップをカメラ側から純正レンズと同じ手順で出来る。専用ケーブルを使うよりは手慣れた作業になるので、こちらも安心感がある。＊とりあえずの結論　ということでNeewerのNW-ETZは実用性が高く良いアダプターである。ただ比較すれば、現時点においては、タムロンとの相性と保守のやり易さでMegadapに一日の長がある。両者の価格差まで考慮すれば、かなり良い勝負ではないだろうか？またこれはタムロンレンズを使った場合の、現行ファームウェアを対象にしたインプレッションに過ぎない。ソニーやシグマのレンズを使った場合は、また異なる評価になるだろう。Megadapとて、最初から今のようなパフォーマンスだったわけではなく、バージョンアップを重ねて徐々に洗練されてきた。Neewerもこれから改良されていくに違いないし、しっかり精度・速度が出ていることから、Megadapに負けないだけのポテンシャルも感じる。ライバルが競えばレベルも上がりユーザーも嬉しい。がんばれNeewer！

a lot of adapters in this style don't work that great, you would normally have the size issues or function issues. this adapter doesn't have any of those flaws. the size is perfect. and it works exactly like advertised. using a e lens on a Nikon is the best combo.

This has been a perfect solution for using the Z7 with Sony e-mount lenses. Attaching and removing the adapter can be done easily. Build quality is excellent. I haven't had any issues with autofocus yet. This is a cost effective way to use e-mount lenses on a Nikon Z, very satisfied.

The media could not be loaded.  The Neewer ETZ adapter is a good way to use your Sony E mount lenses on your Nikon Z mount bodies. Some would question why would you want to do that in the first place. If you have just purchased a Nikon Z body and don’t want to break the bank buying new Z glass, but you also owned Sony lenses, then this will let you save cost initially. It’s also a good way to use some of your favorite Sony lenses that are not available for the Z mount.The ETZ adapter has a nice and solid build quality to it. The adapter is easy to mount and dismount from the camera body. When using this adapter with Sony glass, it works perfectly. The AF will be almost as good as any other Z glass.When you first get this adapter, be sure to use the included alcohol wipes to clean off all contact points on it. I did not do this at first and the adapter would not function at all on my camera. After wiping it down, it functioned properly.At the time of this review, the compatibility with 3rd party lenses is just not there. It’s more miss than hit with the other brands. I noticed a ton of hunting and pulsing without ever acquiring focus. It is still early in the adapters life, so I do anticipate a firmware update that will fix these issues. I have an older ETZ adapter from another company that initially had the same issues, but now it functions properly with 3rd party lenses.
