Third time purchased! One of my all time favs!
Already own it on PS4 and PC, so did the hat trick and purchased for an amazing price for XBox One. One of my fav games and Final Fantasy games. I started playing the series back in 1997 and XV for me towers over VII. The chocobros (emo Prince Noctis, his best friend Prompto, his handsome epic shield Gladio and gorgeous advisor/chef Ignis) are some of my favourite characters, the soundtrack is beautiful and haunting, the story is heartbreaking and features, in my opinion, one of the best complicated and misunderstood Final Fantasy villians. Sephy has nothing on Ardyn. The Royal Pack includes all the DLC and episodes, bar Episode Ardyn. Worth the money and so much fun.

Final Fantasy XV is a fantastic game to new comers and veterans of the franchise.
Final Fantasy XV has come under a lot of criticism in the past for it being "unfinished". Whilst partly true, the missing story aspects of the game had been added in with free and paid DLC (Downloadable content), providing the player with the missing story and new gameplay experiences. The Royal Edition gives everything previously released as well as new things, providing everyone with the best Final Fantasy XV experience. Final Fantasy XV itself is a fantastic RPG game, to new comers of the franchise as well as veterans. Your goal is to reclaim your throne alongside your brothers in arms - taking you on an epic journey through fantastic sights and a wonderful story, that provides some real tear jerking moments. I found myself to be emotionally invested with the characters and how they develop throughout the game. Final Fantasy XV is an open world filled with many monsters and places to explore. There is a consistent flow of interactions between the party of characters making it feel very real. The environments are beautiful - I personally love to run around and explore in open world games to look at the scenery and this game doesn't disappoint. The combat of the game is so satisfying, performing strings of attacks without being hit by an enemy feels fantastic! It keeps a good flow and personally for me I was never bored of it. It is not a turn based RPG, it allows you to freely attack and move around whenever you wish. There is an option to switch between characters in battle which provides a different gameplay style depending on the character selected, which switches up the game to your specific style - you may prefer a ranged approach for example, given by playing as the character Prompto. Each DLC as stated before gives you a new experience, showing off new stories for the other party members as well as multiplayer coop expansion all linked into the story. Whilst all of the Episodes are fantastic, my personal favourite was Episode Ignis. The multiplayer expansion whilst not amazing, is still fun to play with friends. You fight to secure the future for the chosen king, taking you and friends on a journey against many monsters to protect the people using your own customisable character. You'll fight many monsters and some are seriously challenging, which was so fun. Like i said before it comes with everything available to the game at a really decent price considering this factor. I would really recommend those who were put off by the game being "unfinished" to pick up the game now in this form - it will surprise you with how fun it really is. Pros: -A fantastic story. -Beautiful graphics and scenary. -Lovable characters. -A satisfying and smooth combat system. -100+ hours of content. -All content is available at a great price. -More support for the game coming - more updates to be added in the future. -The soundtrack to the game is fantastic, also including soundtracks from previous games to listen to on the go! Cons: -A few quests are rinse and repeat, which can become boring at times. -Occasional FPS drops, whilst nothing bad it is noticable (Using the Xbox one X and PS4 Pro versions have no problem with the FPS)

Final Fantasy 15: Could It Be The most realistic Final Fantasy Ever Made?
I'm back to revisit Final Fantasy 15's Royal edition. This is going to be fun because, Final Fantasy 15's royal edition, is the best version of this awesome game, which still holds up as if it was released yesterday, never mind being almost a decade old. In terms of gameplay, fans of traditional Final Fantasies (including the newer entries that were built of of this games engine) might find the somewhat realistic setting of this adventure in the series a little jarring, but I for one love it's down to earth realism, four amazing main playable characters, and storyline. There's also a prequel CGI movie, which I've covered before, but now it's time to return to the game. Way back when this was first released, it was one of my first Xbox One games, in fact I still have the game on my shelf alongside this newer more updated Series X edition, that includes all downloadable content, and multiplayer access. Gameplay wise, this is a radical departure from the Final Fantasy games of old. You've got a full open world to explore, that has a lot to offer. Combat in the Royal edition, is much like in the Original Game, but thanks to the addition of Ignis, Promto and Gladio's, DLC in the Royal version, you can play with them in the main games combat system should you want to once you unlock the ability, which adds a ton of fun to the fast paced nature of the gameplay. For first time players I should explain though. This final Fantasy is basically if Game of Thrones met Star Wars, with a road trip mixed into it on a massive scale, you can literally spend several minutes driving your car or enjoying the awesome views while Ignis drives you around, from mission to mission, plus I love how they made it so realistic. In that regard, that you can visit diners and stay on campgrounds plus in Motels in Caravans, to rest up and earn experience points throughout your magical road trip adventure story. That in my opinion is way more fun than just going from save point to save point, it's a radical departure from your traditional Final Fantasy games style, but one the series badly needed in my opinion at the time of release, and even today as I write this review of the complete edition. Character wise, Noctis, Ignis, Gladio, and Promto, alongside a stellar cast of supporting characters who happen to be very likeable, make this game's Roster of Characters, iconic, even as much as our old favourites, which thanks to this games engine, are now around in full HD as well in other titles. The story of this game is somewhat lengthy, if you include the prequel movie (Look up Final Fantasy 15: KingsGlaive to find that which is a must for understanding the game fully). You're looking at roughly fifty, to seventy hours worth of gameplay alone here, with all kinds of cool customisable options to come back to in a second playthrough. Even nearly seven years on from the release, Final Fantasy 15: RE holds it's own on Xbox series X as one of the best games in the series in terms of storyline, unique realistic gameplay style, and memorable moments. Add in the fact that this game set the benchmark for most of the more recent entries, like the Seven Remakes, (Which may I add should also be on The series X) and Final Fantasy 15 might be one of the best entries in the entire franchise. Considering the fact this game is paired with a prequel movie full of Hollywood Stars that still shines brightly, alongside the game itself, I'd say Square Enix need to look back at this game a couple of more times after the mess that XVI turned into. I'm more than happy to be back playing FF15 again, as it easily earns a 8/10 all round. The only downside is it is rather hard even early on, on easy difficulty. Fair warning some of the bosses early on in the story, could be compared to later game final enemies, that really bothers me at times. I don't know what happened there, it's like you're walking into what feels like a finale at times when it's only the end of Chapter three (Play and find out, you'll figure out why I'm not spoiling anything and using that metaphor instead) Is it a very fun game on it's own in terms of unique story and gameplay though? Very much so. A game that I'm more than happy to return to and an entry I highly recommend for fans who want realism mixed with traditional elements of a Final Fantasy experience. I should also mention the game and it's companion movie have great soundtracks by composer Yoko Shimomura, she did a fantastic job there, I'm even enjoying the games soundtrack as I write this review right now. Until next time.
