I originally purchased this toothpaste for my son who as many teen boys could be casual when brushing. I needed a toothpaste that will be working harder to compensate for that. I have been purchasing it for years now. The baking soda taste takes some getting used to, but the results are worth it. Even though it is not designed to make your gums healthier it does that too. Also gently whitens your teeth. Arm and Hammer Peroxy care is an affordable and effective toothpaste.

Best toothpaste I’ve ever used. I’m 73 and still have all my teeth. So I know how to take care of teeth. I’ve started using this brand almost a year ago. And I’m amazed how much better this is to any other brand I’ve used before. It makes taking care of teeth and gum health so much easier and better.Occasionally I’m not able to follow my daily routine and this paste makes up for those kind of times. Otherwise my daily routine is as follows: in the morning after breakfast and in the early evening 3 or 4 hours before bedtime. First thing in the morning drink a glass of water. This helps your digestion of breakfast rather than washing out and spitting out saliva before breakfast (that saliva helps in digestion). After breakfast use a WaterPik in and around your teeth and gums. Next brush with this paste and an electric brush. Then use your favorite Dental Floss. Finally I use a non-alcohol mouth wash. The more attention you spend on your routine, the less likely you are to eat snacks between meals. Especially in the evening. And then an occasional quick water pic and manual brush during the day. It’s been decades since I’ve needed a dentist for anything except a dental cleaning (which I do 2 times a year and 3 times every 2nd year).But I’m telling you that this paste does a better cleaning than anything else I’ve ever used.

I have been blessed with HORRIBLE tooth issues for my entire life. Back in the mid-80s, I had really bad dental pain but no insurance. I was raising two children on my own and had limited funds. So not knowing my other options, I went to the pharmacy to see what I could use for my tooth pain. The pharmacist told me to use Mentadent toothpaste and brush assertively 3 times per day. I never had to go to the dentist and the tooth pain went away… and STAYED away!Then in the early 2000s, when I moved to a small town and could not find Mentadent in my local stores, I tried other brands and ended up with HORRIBLE tooth pain. I was forced to go to the dentist (still without insurance or much “free funds” to spare. The dentist said I needed 2 root canals and a crown. OMG! I will never be able to afford that so I ended up taking a LOT of aspirin! In mid-2000s I moved to Dallas for a GREAT job. I was very disappointed to find that Arm & Hammer DISCONTINUED Mentadent so I contacted Arm & Hammer and first scolded them for discontinuing it (I mean, WHY would they do that if it works dental miracles??) and then I asked Arm & Hammer which item replaced Mentadent. They told me THIS ONE did. I was silently praying that it was just as powerful as Mentadent was… and it is! So I started buying THIS PRODUCT and I was able to STOP “popping aspirin” for the pain because the areas where I needed 2 root canals and a crown were NO LONGER hurting. In 2015, I was offered FREE dental through my job and decided to go to the dentist. Because I was a new patient, he took XRAYS. I told him I needed 2 root canals and a crown and likely had some cavities because I struggled with tooth issues since I was a kid. The dentist brought the XRAYS in and said, "Wow, your teeth are great". WHAT?? No root canals or crowns needed, and no cavities??I was shocked... I asked him, "Are you sure?" with skepticism. He replied, "I do not see anything on these x-rays but if you are having tooth pain… show me where". Well, I couldn't show him because I haven’t had ANY tooth pain.I told him a shortened version of this review and he said, “Oh no wonder your teeth are great; I have had several patients tell me the same thing. It appears to be a wonder toothpaste”. THAT WAS IT… I have not had any tooth pain since and have not had to go to the dentist since…. not even for cleaning because I mix a Charcoal toothpaste with this one to keep my pearly-whites. SO ARM & HAMMER… please NEVER discontinue this product!

Works great, the flavor is great and it’s definitely going to last me a longgg time which I love!

Good price, like peroxide & baking soda

El sabor no es agradable, pero sientes la sensación de que tus dientes están limpios todo el día. Recomiendo que utilicen una pequeña porción al cepillarse los dientes porque es un poco abrasiva. Causa irritación en las encías si utilizas mucha cantidad. A penas la e usado 3 días, no se si blanquea los dientes

Was recommended by my dentist. Great toothpaste, not the best taste.

Unlike most whitening toothpastes etc you buy in the UK, this one actually does get rid of ingrained stains! Most only 'brighten' or get rid of surface stains and surely regular brushing dies that. I suffer with hard tartar build up no matter how religious I am with flossing and brushing. 7 to 10 days after visiting the hygienist its back again. This Peroxicare has removed that old tartar. An unlooked for benefit!

excellent tooth paste though expensive

I was hoping to find a whitening toothpaste that was less abrasive. This has a low abrasivity rating according to several online charts I found. I've been using it for two weeks and my teeth are at about 2 shades whiter. It also makes my teeth feel very clean. I don't find the taste any different than the other arm & hammer baking soda based toothpastes. It's not delicious tasting but it's not terrible. Overall I'm super happy and I just wish I could find this in stores. I'm wondering if maybe it isn't sold at all in Canada.
