The Boxer's Soliloquy

This is a very well written book. It's written buy a man who obviously knows and has lived the Muay Thai life both in the USA and in Thailand.Rather than one story it's a series of vignettes that jump from place to place about fights, fighter and their lives. What it does very well is it gives you an understanding of where Mauy Thai tends to stand in peoples lives when ranked against family, friends, colleagues, loved ones and careers.If you like this genre  Last Seen in Bangkok  is worth a look too.

Having previously lived in Bangkok myself for a long time and being a fan of Muoy Thai I loved this book. It took me back to the sounds, smells and unusual life that is Thailand for a while and mixed it well with the dreams of aspiring fighters from another continent. I really enjoyed how the story was written and thought it was a great read.
