My daughter needed to replace a stool at school because she broke one. We decided to get these for her class instead, and give them an active seating upgrade. All the kids love them so much that her teacher put more sets on her wishlist for the coming year, and two more sets have already been donated.

I teach middle school students so some of the students are full adult size. All students can use them with the top of the U touching the floor and sideways. Only smaller kids can use it if you sit in it saddle style. The most common use I’ve found is keeping it as an upside down U, which is very wobbly. I’ve had a few kids wobble too much to the point where it’s become distracting and they’ve slipped off. That’s more of a behavior concern though than the chairs themselves. Overall a great purchase.

I love these stools because they are so durable but they have nothing on the bottoms to keep them from slipping on the floor and out from under the kids. So disappointed because I paid $200 of my own money so the kids in my class had some flexible seating. :(

I love them in my classroom. Students ask if they can sit in them all the time!

I love the chair. But I ordered a 2 pack and only received one chair. I can't find a way to resolve it besides shipped back the one chair.

We chose lime green and thought it to be a solid, even, bright, and cheery color. TPlastic usedA 4 inside of a triangle is what is displayed, along with the letters LLDPE, this is a very hard plastic material think milk-jugs, times (20). This type of plastic is typically found in plastic road barriers. It’s referred to as a Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE). LLDPE is understood to be a blended form of LDPE. It typically offers some flexibility and extra strength. We understand that there is little opportunity to recycle this type of plastic, however, may grow in the future.In no way would I say any part of this seating is soft, rather, it’s extremely firm/supportive, no matter which direction it is used to sit on or in, only size and imagination would limit how a child sits with this. We think the length one could comfortably sit is limited, this is more short-term type of seating, whether in a home, school, or library type of environment.There is no odor to this plastic. There is a sandpaper type texture, rather than glassy smooth. We did not find the texture injurious or so rough we would not touch. These stools make for awesome kid's flex seating, and my own children are really enjoying them. I have 5 kids, aged 5, 7, 9, 11, and 13 years old, and these seats can accommodate each of them. My 13 year old is the size of an adult (5 foot 5 and 110 pounds), and these stools are sturdy enough for her weight, as well as my 165 pound self. They are constructed from a lightweight (my petite 5 year old can move them around on her own) but super thick plastic, like old-style Little Tikes toys. These can be used outdoors as well as inside, since they have no hole(s) to collect water, and can simply be wiped clean (and sanitized with Clorox wipes). I like the height of this seating, as it is good for my low tables and desks (optimized for kid tables), and also for playing video games in front of our TV. We had tried the yoga ball type seating, but I like these stools better, since my kids can still move around on them, but I don't have to worry about them flipping backwards as easily (especially my 5 and 7 year olds). I also like the fact that they can be used in alternate configurations, if we don't want a "wobble" seat (as a U-shaped rocker, saddle-style rocker, or "sideways" stool), and the two seats nest within one another to save space. The "light purple" color I ordered is a pretty lavender, true to the description photos (see my pics, 1 liter coke bottle for size reference).Overall, this is honestly some of the best kid's flex seating I have tried: durable, easy to clean, versatile, and of course, fun to use. I would definitely not hesitate to order more from this company.
