Survived 1 week in Disney World
In my opinion these sneakers have been one of the best investments I've made for my feet. I'm in my mid-60's, overweight (working on it), with diabetes. I had started feeling temporary pain in the Achilles tendon of my left foot. The discomfort would occur after being stationary but would quickly go away when I walked for several minutes. I saw an ad for Gravity Defyer sneakers. Advertised as being a walking sneaker with orthopedic corrective inserts sneaker I made the purchase. I had been invited to go to Disney World with family, had been advised that the walking might be brutal for me, and I wanted to have another set of sneakers I could use. Walking in them for the first time was unique. The sole felt stiff, but this quickly faded. In early August we were in Disney World for a week. Not one drop of rain. Temperatures were in the high-90's/low 100's. The "real feel" was between 117 - 124 degrees. I registered between 23k to 25k steps, over twice my usual daily step count. While they were right about the walking, they didn't mention the discomfort of standing in long lines in that heat. I was pleasantly surprised that I had no complaints about my feet or legs. I wore the Gravity Defyers every single day. The heat from the pavement was intense and the common joke was that the soles of our sneakers were melting. People with gel inserts claimed to feel their feet sliding around in their sneakers. As for me, the soles of my sneakers were solid. I enjoyed walking in these sneakers. Even standing in slow moving lines was not an issue for me. I read in the reviews that the sizing was small compared to other shoes. I found this to be true. I normally take a 12 - 12.5-inch size. I ordered a 13-inch size and it fit like a glove. If I re-order these sneakers, I'd be tempted to go with a 13-wide if I was to wear heavy socks in cold weather. The sneakers look far better than the pictures displayed on Amazon. I purchased the grey color because all the really cool colors were no longer available - which I took as an indication of the sneaker's popularity. It turns out the grey color is a pretty sharp looking sneaker. I am thrilled with these sneakers. I would definitely purchase them again and I have recommended them to my friends. My feet and legs feel awesome.

I'm a good review
My 11.5 inch men's blue and white walk shoe arrived an hour ago. I'll update the review as I walk more with the shoes. But... I have a lot of shoes... not because I walk a lot, but because I just can't seem to get it right. It's not always about the shoe... it's about old, diabetic and weird feet (bunion, hammer toes... just plain old, though I have the care of a brave pedicurist). First, they were light weight enough. I say enough, because the super, super light ones have a lot of foam in the soles and wear out pretty quickly. This pair of G-Defy's might do that too, but not on the first day (I hope). Next, they laced up nicely. That was a change from all my slip in's and slip-off's and sneaker styles and walk-styles. Though it's a bit more work, I will go through the effort if I can get something that works. Then the insoles. An 11.5 shoe, though perfect and wide, felt as though it needed nothing to improve it. But because of my delicate feet, I decided to put on the othotic insole even though the existing insoles fit nicely. I worked perfectly. I changed the way the laces engaged and am currently walking around the hardwood floors and enjoying the fit and feel. Oh, by the way, I'm wearing socks with them... I don't always do that. For now, a tad better than 5-star perfection! I need to walk on pavement to get a good test though it'll stomp on the warranty. It's good enough to risk keeping it and get that asphalt and cement experience out of the way. I'll know in about a half mile. Later. [Update, 2024-0113 Sat] My right knee is the culprit. I do not yet have any formal medical diagnosis. This G-Defyer works and here is how I know: First, my "man's feet" are so grumpy that I MUST wear something cushy on my bony, no fatty-tissue, old, feet... MUST be cushioned! So, when when walking about without the G-Defyer on, my intermittant right knee may start to holler at me in pain. When it does, it's a sign to wear my knee brace (if one must know, I have diagnosed my own knee ailment to something gone stupid in the femoral-patella region of the right knee). Once the "owie" starts, it's pretty regular until I get the brace on... and then I'm usually OK after that. If I'm wearing tighter long legged pants, I wear the brace externally... it looks bad, but looking bad is better than walking in pain. All this to say that, once the pain starts, I put on the G-Dfyer and the pain goes away. My conclusion, and the reason for this update... the shoe works! I can honestly say that, wearing the G-Defy's, I have yet to have a knee pain "incident". That's it... pain relief is not a theory for me.

Comfy Shoe
Game changer, take a couple days, wear a day skip a day and youโll love them. Iโve had them just over a week and my foot pain is gone and lower back is getting better every day. Will buy another pair when needed. These arenโt bulky at all and look the same as any other shoe out there, slightly heavier but not noticeable. What is noticeable is a small rubber heel, which is awesome for walking and standing. Definitely worth 100 bucks.

Came apart after one walk.
I bought this shoe for walking. My wife and I walk about 5 miles 3 times weekly. I ordered these on August 6, 2026 and received on August 9th. I went on one walk for about 5 miles and when I returned home the sole of the left shoe was coming off. This was my 5th pair of Gravity Defyers and the first one to be defective. After reading other reviews from people with the same problem I am now reluctant to order again.

Cured my foot pain!!!
300lbs. Standing and walking on concrete all day. Ive tried many shoes. This shoe, plus a heavy duty insole for 250lbs+ and when i get home I wear recovery sandals. If you had heel pain as I have, this may be the shoe for you too. The most important design of this shoe is the reduced impact to the heel. My Right foot was immediately better, however the Left foot still hurt with the thin insole and I needed extra cushion, not the shoes fault. I would recommend a 1/2 size up, if you plan on replacing the insole. Thats what I did. Pain reduction was noticed 1st day on the right foot. After adding thicker insole, pain reduction in the left foot. It was AMAZING! For a time I was working a Full Time and Part Time, and just couldnt do it anymore. If i decide to start another part time, ill get another pair. I hope this works for others and this info is helpful. Ive had my DR suggest what his foot doctor suggested to him, an expensive name brand, and it didnt work for me. Ive spent $100s and my pain was getting so bad i took pain meds for a time and lowered overall activity. Now, i can do a whole 10 hr shift and my are PAINLESS. Just the other day was the 1st day I walked around my apt without my recovery sandals and didnt even realize til I was putting my shoes on. Before these shoes, I couldnt wait to get home to slip into the recovery sandals.

Good and bad
First I bought a womens (cuz Iโm a woman) 11 of the same model but it was too short and there wasnโt an 11.5 offered. I usually take a 10 but I have an orthotic so I go up a size. So I ordered this mens in 11.5. Pros: I need extra cushion in the forefoot for metatarsal pain and this was great for that. Plenty of cushioning in the sole throughout the shoe. Good arch support with their insert but I wear my own orthotic. Cons: I feel it runs wide. I tend to overpronate (inward roll) and this shoe made my pronation worse. I could see my feet obviously rolling inward. There is a square bump under the heel which provides a nice extra cushion but it caused my feet to feel wobbly like walking over uneven ground. Never felt like my heel strike was stable. I wore the shoes for 3 weeks hoping to adjust to them but they just didnโt work for me. Canโt return them now so Iโll give them to a thrift store.

Nice Product
These shoes are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I am 75 years old, and a diabetic. I will be returning to buy more shoes there.

Runs small for a 15.. and not good for hallux limitus or ridgus
Runs smaller and shorter then actual size. This shoe hurts my big toe with hallux limitus, and is useless for this condition, Don't buy it if this for your foot issue. It may be more useful for other foot issues. The heel drop is too high.
