They both loved Erik the Lone Wolf
I have two kids, one is seven, the second is two. They both loved Erik the Lone Wolf, for different reasons. My elder son does not always like to follow rules; he gets frustrated at times. Which is why I bought this book, to show him that little wolf can get frustrated too! Erik did not like to follow the rules of the pack and decided to leave it and live alone. He was happy at the beginning, but then he had an accident that brought him to reconsider what it means to be part of a pack. This book was an occasion for discussion with my elder son. We agreed that being in a family means having to follow some rules, but also that the rules can be discussed and that little wolves can have their word and feel respected within the pack.My little one also loved the book, for completely different reasons. He focused on the wonderful illustrations and colours. He felt a lot of empathy for the little wolf and wanted to help it to call mummy wolf and daddy wolf, using his loudest voice, after the little wolf had an accident while living alone. As for me, I think this book is a piece of art. I love the illustrations; they are powerful, evocative, and touching.

A fantastic story for both children and adults
I ordered this for my niece as Erik reminded me of her!Clever and heartwarming story about the desire for independence when part of a big family. Gorgeous illustrations throughout that capture the feeling of coldness and isolation, warmth and heart, and Erik's bold personality. A fantastic story for both children and adults.
