We have a small kitchen, with not nearly enough outlets - yet we have two light switches to control under the cabinet lighting. I wanted an outlet there too - and a search led me to this. It's easy to install, with clear instructions included in the box, and the outlet and switch are both the expected Legrand radiant (high!) quality. I swapped it out in about 10 minutes, and it works great.

Like others have commented, the instructions would be better left out of the box and are misleading about the missing shunt on the Hot wire between the outlet and switch. There's a connection that can be removed if you want two different Hot wires feeding each, but I can't imagine many people will need to use this. If you're reasonably familiar with wiring, this switch is pretty obvious on how to hook it up. I included a picture with the wires labeled. I agree that having the switch move vertically is much better than the bog box switch that moves horizontally. This is a great product if you ignore their documentation, which appears to be generic for all their products.

Looks good and works as it should. Only gripe is the dumb logo on the switch. I really like that this unit has the vertical switch versus the horizontal switch that all others come with.The instructions included are a bit outdated, but if you're familiar with basic electrical wiring then this is no problem. If you need the instructions its best call an electrician anyway.

Works great ... allows me to connect my vacuum .. very useful... just replace my old single 3 way switch.

I had two hot lines for the product: to install as a 3 way switch and other as always hot power outlet. The illustration and instructions note advise pulling out a Split Tab protected by a plastic cover on the BACK of the product. There is nothing on the back however! Obviously the product is updated. The instructions are from 2017.Instead, there is a metal tab on one side that needs to be broken: This I did: by bending and breaking it. There is nothing to pull out. I installed this as a 3-way switch with an independent Outlet. If you want this configuration, remove the metal tab on the back. The switch is wired as a 3-way configuration. If you are replacing an existing 3-way rocker switch, wire it the same. The Outlet is a basic output Black-hot and a Netural-white wire. PLEASE pay attention to the markings on the back of the switch.

I like the modern look of the rocker to replace my toggle--plus, the outlet let's me plug in stuff in my bathroom but only when the light is on. My wiring does not allow them to work separately. A pro installed it for me.

A LITTLE tricky for the amateur to install, mostly with the lack of clarity available about the need to ensure a proper added neutral white wire - you can NOT just take an existing 3way switch and swap wires over from it onto this and have the outlet work, and so if you are trying to wire this into a 'slave' side of a 3way setup where the wiring does not involve a regular neutral at all then as far as I understand you cannot easily get it to work - unless you go to the normally huge trouble of running a regular neutral to its box location anew.You have to ensure a neutral is available and connected to this where indicated in the (easily confusing to the layman like myself, but pretty simple once you get this one little detail) wiring diagram - generally by maretting a short jumper white neutral wire I believe. So, I guess I'd better disclaim that you should (like I did ;) ensure a licensed electrician properly installs this (and anything electrical wiring related) for you.Great item though, really. So nice to be able to add a receptacle where only a switch once was, at a comfortably easily reachable and usable height and location! And the up-down versus left-right, and solid click, switching is really nice.Oh and that Legrand / Pass&Seymour has this set up to work in either single pole or 3way switch situations is pretty fantastic! I installed one in a 3way spot then realized that not only do I want more in other 3way switch locations but that one would be fantastic in at least one of my single pole switch locations also, but then I couldn't find anything other than and sufficiently matching this (especially not with the vertical switch operation) and was thrilled to realize that these work in both configurations so I could just order another one (three actually) of these!

I wanted to extended from an existing switch to add an outlet in my garage. Before cutting the drywall, I noticed this solution which met exactly what I needed and also very simple, no cutting drywall, and also supporting 3way wiring. It is a very good solution and very recommended.

It is a good quality product, but it only comes with a wiring diagram for installation. And the picture in the instructions don't match the product 100% - there is no removeable tab. I had to carefully map out the existing wires, and make a drawing of my wires and match it up the the wiring diagram. Took longer than expected, but once done it worked great. Have a always on outlet, and light switch. A real electrician would have no trouble.

I was looking a good quality combination switch. This was inexpensive and just what I needed. I needed a plug in a room and my only options were an extension cable or add one to a light switch. I didn’t realize it was also good as a 3 way switch which is rare to find for combination switch. Will definitely buy more to replace some of my older 3 way switch. It is nice to have the added option to plug electronics like an Echo Dot at eye level.
