Eevi doesn't hold back any secrets in this book. Organized and thorough. I'm very happy I made the purchase. The book is PACKED with information and as well as downloadable insights on creating many kinds of children's books, from simple toddler stories to chapter books for pre-teens.

Discovering this book was like finding an amazing mentor at just the right time. Some other resources I have encountered along the way remind me of the time a well-intended family member tried to use college level algebra to help me understand my 9th grade math homework. I knew HE knew how to do it, but I simply had no frame of reference for his words. As you read this book, it's as though Yvonne comes along beside you and says, "Here's a frame of reference for you. Now go build on it." The book is engaging, understandable, and leaves the reader feeling more equipped to tackle the next step in their publishing journey.

I'm ashamed of myself because I bought and ENJOYED and LEARNED SO MUCH from this wonderful book by this truly AMAZING and caring author.I had already seen all of the positive reviews and feedback on it and I knew they were all true and they said everything that I could have thought to write already so I figured my review wouldn't really matter. I felt it would just get lost in the crowd. NOW, I KNOW better.I've learned that reviews really DO matter and they really DO help and support the author just as much and/or even more than the negative ones do.I can honestly say that each and every positive review here is the absolute truth. I think it's also very important that you understand that this author, Eevi Jones, did not just write this book to make money for herself. She did it because she truly IS a caring person with a caring soul. She has been through and struggled with every single issue that each of us other children's' authors must endure. Eevi cares enough to help us avoid the pitfalls and frustrations and confusions that she went through. She truly DOES. She has proven herself over and over again not only through her books and videos, but through her classes and university.I have nothing but praise and respect and love for this special lady. Once you read her words I know that you will too. This is more than just a one time read. Oh no, this is an all time reference and a lasting reminder that there are still loving people out in the world who truly care about and support you on your way to success. Eevi is the epitome of what teachers and guides should be.

Great book for aspiring children's book authors. I've just finished the last few steps of publishing my children's book on KDP. The author is very knowledgeable and I appreciate that she provides lots of sample downloadable resources that you can utilize.BEFORE YOU BUY:The book was originally published in 2018, and a lot has changed in terms of the technical aspects of publishing, especially the section on KDP. KDP now allows you to publish both ebooks, paperbooks, and hardcover. Some aspects of the chapters that cover how to upload it aren't current to the interface. Additionally, I would say that there isn't much written in this book about the use of AI. There are many different factors that KDP screens for the use of AI in generating images, stories, and more. So, it's important to consider that this book is a bit dated on that end.Other than that, I found this very specific and useful as a first time book author for a children's fiction book. I think I would recommend it to someone just starting out with their children's book (minus the part about loading your book to KDP and the AI considerations).

This book contains a step by step description of the process of creating and self-publishing a children's book. There is a lot of good information here. I couldn't give it five stars because many of the charts and illustrations are not legible or usable. Also, I think there is reason to do your own research of the sites she lists for finding illustrators to get really professional work done. However, Ms. Jones text information is thought provoking and useful.
