Having had a bad time with the first unit, I was refunded fully and disposed of the unit (see below for original review), nekteck then kindly sent me a second unit out of professional courtesy which I’m happy to say works as described.The original IMO probably had a faulty controller which was unable to charge the device properly and in the end packed up.This one has charged up quickly and completely and I’m happy to say it works from all ports and usages.I’ve raised the rating to three because the original item failed so badly even with a replacement this doesn’t feel like a five star product.Had it not failed who knows maybe five stars, once again I can’t fault Nekteck or Amazon in there customer service.****************************************************Before we go any further this review is based entirely on the product and not on the seller or Amazon.The unit arrived promptly and with no damage whatsoever to the packaging, when I opened it all was present and correct.The first thing I noticed was that the unit was only charged to 64% so I unpacked the AC adapter and put it on charge.After an hour I went and checked it to find it still on 64%, so I switched to the USB charger and used a 2.1 amp AC charger as the source.(My thinking at this point that either the socket or AC adapter may be faulty)After about another 45 minutes I went and checked it again and saw that it was now charging albeit at a very slow rate.Cut to 5 hours later and after checking I noticed that where it had previously been showing recharge at 90% it was now only displaying a 9 digit and no flashing second digit.I immediately disconnected the USB and switched the device on to see what was going on and it jumped to 100% charge but was still showing the “in” word signifying that it was still in a charging state.Switched it off and on again and no change, plugged the USB in to see if it would kick in but after a few seconds my AC USB plug blew.Now what’s interesting is that the device won’t switch off but either on or off is completely unresponsive just a permanent 100% “In” on the display.I wouldn’t recommend this item based on my personal experience, it’s possible that this may be a rogue unit but when dealing with this amount of lithium battery I don’t want to be worrying about faulty charging or units not switching off.I raised the the issue with the seller and was given an immediate response of “get it back to us to receive a refund”, it took a call to Amazon as there was no direct communication for the seller because you are not allowed to send batteries especially defective ones in the post.Amazon took over and immediately refunded me the money and told me to dispose of the item safely, which I have now done.Once again I didn’t feel put out by the seller but the system in place didn’t cater for this issue hence the call to amazon.

A really solid and well made charger with high quality attachments and cables, it comes in a high quality neoprene hard carry case which everything fits in superbly and is splash proof (i found out after dropping in a puddle) whilst starting my car after having a flat battery, I found this very easy to use and the instructions are so simple to follow, the charger has another excellent feature which is USB connectors allowing you to use it as a power bank to charge your phone and etc and has a built in torch, the device is a decent size and is easy to transport and store,superb delivery and perfectly wrapped as expected, I am very happy with my purchase and I would recommend it. I bought this jump start emergency battery pack after having an experience if a flat battery when out alone. I wanted to have the reassurance that should this happen again I could get my engine started and be on my way. I've not had occasion to use this item but it looks very durable, all the components seem to be very well made and, from the instructions, easy to use. Altogether a good piece of kit to give peace of mind. Very pleased to have it and it was offered at a very good price.

The first unit I was sent was faulty, but the seller replaced it swiftly. The replacement unit seems good so far.The provided case is fairly bulky, but is attractive and neat and I feel it would be well protected if thrown into the back of a car. The battery unit has an all-plastic outer construction but the size/weight of the unit is good overall and helps give the confidence it could help start your vehicle more than once. The torch and addition of USB ports and 12v output helps to extend the unit's use – the 20000mAh capacity can e.g. recharge a smart phone and tablet several times over – albeit it's an expensive unit overall so if you don't require the jump-start functionality there are cheaper alternatives from Nekteck and others for simply providing power and recharging mobile devices.It successfully helped start my 2 litre petrol when the battery level had dipped too low to start the engine. I'm yet to test a jump-start when the battery is really flat but it was straightforward to use.

Excellent pre and post sales experience...the battery pack promises to be a good asset to my forthcoming road trip to Sardinia for the car and motorcycle combo and, while they are there for the planned year and not in use the batteries drain down......a weight off my mind !

Early days yet as I’ve only used it once to start my, 3.6 litre, petrol engine so it’s had less than a 1/2 a second’s work! But as long as it keeps going at this rate it’ll be very impressive.Robust carrying case but would have preferred some internal organisation rather than just pile all the leads in the mesh covered lid.

This is a Christmas gift so remains to be seen how well it works, but reviews seemed good overall. Will add a further review later once the items has been used. Thanks!

Works well to start our camper van when its flat. It is most efficient when fully charged. Has saved us calling out the AA ,
