God of Fury is a story that I think may push some readers and may not exactly work for everyone but I was so fascinated in the growth that we see our couple go through within this story. I had such a fun time with this match up because on the surface you wouldn't think that these two would have anything in common, but when it comes to the heart and mind....they truly find what they need in each other but their journey is a battle. First Line What am I doing here? Summary So the setup of the story is that we have our two male protoganists: Bran and Niko. Niko is the psychopath of the two. He is such an alpha male, and he has his eye on Bran and wants him more than anything. So much so that he is losing interest in what he normally has interest in. Then we have Bran, who has his own mental struggles he has been battling it, and is more of a demisexual. So we see how struggles being in relationships...until Niko. Niko has him feeling things especially more sexually that he has never really experienced but he has always considered himself straight, and doesn't know how to face up to being attracted to Niko in the way that he is. There is this pull and push between Niko and Bran on what they have and if its worth fighting for....will Bran be able to fight for Niko and their love before Niko gives up on him completely? What I Loved Wow! this book packed such a punch and I was there for the ride that this author takes us on. I absolutely adored Niko so much. He was a hoot. Seriously this character had me laughing all over the place. He is such a anti hero and its delicious. I have always loved Niko though and if you have read the other books in the series you are very familiar with his crazy. Then we have Bran who is the prentious prideful of his group of friends. Bran has been the character that we have seen to be the most mysterious. We just know he is the serious twin, but his character is more in the background. In God of Fury we get to see his story and see his background and his story melted my heart and broke it just a bit. What we see Bran struggle with was so heartbreaking. Through much of the story you aren't sure what he is struggling with exactly or what trauma he was dealt, but you know its pretty bad and you know his family is ignorant of it. He has kept it hidden and for years has been dealing with severe depression and is on the verge of being suicidal. I really connected with his character and his struggles. I think if any reader has dealt with depression of any kind, they will be able to see so much of themselves within Bran's character. So the romance is very push and pull. Bran is always on the run and Niko is the one chasing. But there is so much more happeni9ng with Bran than meets the eye. Niko knows that there is something deeper driving Bran's fear then just him coming out of the closet as gay. But Bran is on the run not just sexually or physically but also very emotionally. Niko is pretty patient considering the fact that he is a bit of a psychopath. We see how much he is having to deal with but also knowing that their relationship is practically forbidden and that Bran's twin is his greatest enemy. What we see being developed within the plot was so superb. It kept me on edge all the way through. What will really carry the reader through though is the depth of their relationship. I loved the feel of cat and mouse play game that these two go through and the third act was simply perfection. I knew going into this what was ahead for this one and its hard to see but Rina Kent really handled this scene so very well. I was highly impressed with how it was handled, and seeing how the family and especially Niko deals with it, just breaks your heart. But these two come out on top in the happily ever after and Kent has created such a unique dynamic romance that melted my heart from beginning to end. Spoiler (view spoiler) What I Struggled With The pacing in this book dragged a bit in some parts. The middle section of the story kinda was a bit slow at times. So I feel like there were aspects to the battle between Niko and Bran going back and forth that could have been reduced just a bit because it did get slightly repetitive. But I only knocked off half a star for this element as the rest of the story was a win for me. Overall View God of Fury is a powerful story that tugs at your heartstrings and melts your heart at the deep vibrant emotion that carries the romance through. Its a story of identity, growth and learning to heal past wounds and embrace the love that is steady and impactful. This book was so fun to read!! It runs in a concurrent timeline of books 1-4, so if you have read them before, you get to re-live some key moments throughout the series and hear Brandon and Nikolai’s POVs. Although they are interconnected standalones, I did find it more enjoyable having read the previous books. This book was SO emotional, as well… I was not expecting that and was highly invested throughout the story. Also, I was not expecting to be giggling and kicking my feet the whole way through, cheering on their love story and wanting happiness for them. I found this book to be SO unique, in the best way! During the rest of the series, you think that Nikolai will be the grumpy and Brandon will be the sunshine, but when it comes to their book, it’s quite opposite and the author completely flipped the script on them! These characters were complex, intelligent, scarred and flawed in the most beautiful way. Nikolai: He’s funny, brash, emotional, charismatic, fierce, obsessive, protective. I love how he talks to himself and his d!ck. His inner monologue was hilarious. Brandon: He’s sweet, caring, friendly, charming, possessive, but underneath it all he’s hiding painful secrets. His need for control and perfection was very relatable. I was very invested in his personal demons and battles. In true Rina Kent fashion, this book was loaded with so much spice! It was beautiful and hot, and I can’t believe this was her first MM romance. So many high points… no notes! Exquisite!! I would rate this 4🌶️’s. Finally, I read this book along with the audio and I have to say… Omg… Teddy Hamilton sure knows how to build up a fantastic, fiery moment. So Hot! And Shane East narrates with such passion and strength. Incredible performance by both, which made this book even more enjoyable!! Best book in the series, hands down. Absolutely loved it! I wouldn’t change a single thing and it made me feel all the emotions which makes this an exceptional read! I give this book a super enthusiastic 6⭐️’s.

This is a dark mm romance full of angst but it is perfectly balanced with humor primarily from the Nikolai character but in general throughput the characters. I enjoyed the story, though it did not feel original compared to other similar mm dark angsty romances, there is uniqueness embedded in its intricate story. What made this experience fantastic was the wonderful duet narration of the audio book, and particularly Teddy Hamilton's portrayal of the unhinged, sunshine mmc Nikolai. Wow, I loved teddy Hamilton before but this performance cemented him as an ace of male narration.

I thought Glynn and Killian’s story was my favorite but this, without question has taken the number one spot. To see two broken souls find healing amongst each other and a love so beautiful that it brought me to tears on numerous occasions, how could it not ? This was beautifully written and my heart melts for this couple. Amazing book. Simply just amazing.

My absolute favourite, I have nothing else to say because I can't write a review that will explain my love for this book, Brandon, and Nikolai, enough. Love them. Amazing, amazing, completely off-the-rails perfect book. Writing, plot, romance, push and pull, everything: perfection. And Nikolai's personality? Give me four of him, please and thank you. I cried, I begged, I laughed, I smiled, I loved, I swooned, I kicked my feet, I did it all. Nikolai, I love you, and Brandon, my sweet boy, I love you too. Only negative: WHY WASN'T THIS BOOK LONGER? I would read every single line. I have already read this book twice, and of course, listened to the audiobook. The audiobook is DEFINITELY also why I love it so much. Teddy Hamilton and Shane East, how DARE you be that good!? I have a word to pick with you two, because the amount of enjoyment in my ears- yeah, I'm just saying. LOVED. IT.

I think this might be my favorite book in the series so far. I cracked up at Nikolai naming his appendage and I hurt with Brandon when he was cutting. I even enjoyed Landon towards the end when he & Nikolai came together over a common threat. I love the relationship Nikolai has with his dad. This was just a solid book & am so glad I didn’t shy away from the MM. i highly recommend purchasing the audio version bcz the narration was fantastic & added so much more depth, emotion, humor, & just overall feeling.

I enjoy the book however I felt the flow of the plot got muddled by adding a chapter of brandon father. I get they are intercom but it didn't make sense to randomly get a chapter of his opinion.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5/5. Favorite of the series, hands down! Y’all, I strongly suggest you listen to the audio and read along. You won’t regret it. Shane and Teddy knocked it out of the park with this one. 🙌🏽 The narration throughout the series has been amazing but this one in particular was something else. I knew from previous books that Brandon had a darker side so to speak but i never thought he would be like this. I also knew I would love him even more after his book. With Nikolai I was very intrigued to know what was up with him and why he had his violent side and why he was so hostile towards Bran, or so I thought. The beginning of this book was an experience already. I loved how it started and how much we learned about Bran and how much we delved into. I loved seeing how he felt when Niko came barging into his life and basically didn't take his 'no' for an answer. Bran was such a complex character but also easy to understand and quite honestly the easiest to have sympathy for from the very beginning compared to the others in the series but especially with his twin brother, Landon. I loved seeing how much him and his twin are interlaced with each other and what each other meant to one another. Bran was a closed off person and he wore a mask for everyone but Niko noticed something was up with him and never gave up on getting to the bottom of who the real Bran was. I also liked the journey Bran went when facing desires he never thought he had and what that meant for him and everyone around him in a way. Niko was a very straightforward character. He is very blunt and a simple man and while people think he's dumb, he is anything but that. He also has a heart of gold which I wasn't expecting and that's part of why this book was so good. Niko had the best relationship with his dad, Kyle, and I loved seeing it. They are opposites of each other but that's what worked best. They are both very possessive of each other and I ate that up. Bran was such a surprise in that regard while Niko was the cherry on top of everything else. I loved and felt how deep in love they were for one another and I love these two. Highlights of this story: 1- Niko being persistent because he saw something in Bran and he never gave up nor even thought to. 2- Landon came through multiple times even if he f****ed things up in the beginning. In my eyes this book felt like a wrap up with Landon's arc because I actually felt that he meant what he said and I was an emotional mess every time. 3- Niko & Landon teaming up to take the trash out. 👀 4- Levi & Astrid coming through with their understanding and love. 5- We finally figured out who white mask is. 👀 While I cried in various parts of this story, the third act was a lot. It was painful, emotional, sad and everything in between. I was a mess y'all. This book was painful, very emotional, sweet at times but with a dash of violence and a love between two souls that were meant to be. I suggest you do not read this as a standalone to get the full experience. At least God Of Ruin is a must because Landon is the twin brother and as such an integral piece of Bran's. Please check the TW/CW at the beginning if you have any because it has some heavy topics and while every book in the series is dark, imo this one hits different.

As a neurodivergent reader as well as a sufferer of mental health issues, I saw myself strongly in these characters as the mental health rep through both Nikolai and Brandon was honestly impressive. While being able to sympathise with the MC's or any characters isn't a deal breaker in reading for me, it definitely lets me immerse myself more into the book. Even though these characters are fictional, it gives a personal sense of 'I'm not alone in feeling like this' - it's a fictional representation of real world struggles, especially in relationships. The plot and character development for me was the key point of mention here. The author spared no details in building this story and the bond Niko and Bran develop and share from start to finish and how this affects their relationship; not just with each other but with their surroundings and own lifestyles. Not at one point did I think "Oh we've skipped a bit here" or "I feel I'm missing something, how did we go from A to B?". The story was written in a way that included heavy detail but didn't go off-track. There is a gradual development over the course of the book with added elements of humour (which honestly did make me giggle a lot 😂) in amongst the violence and realness of the story. I really look forward to reading more of Rina's work.

I feel so lost as to what to write, I have pages of thoughts, feelings, quotes, etc. but I don’t think there’s really anything I can write that will accurately portray what an absolute masterpiece & how perfect God of Fury is. We finally have answers to so many of the fill-in-the-blanks that we’ve been treated to since the beginning of the series. Niko & Bran were everything I didn’t know I needed & wanted in my life. I have never considered picking up a MM romance until this one. This book consumed me🖤 Nikolai is violence on steroids, completely unhinged & has quite the potty mouth. Everything he does & says is absolutely deranged, taunting, hilarious and downright sinful. Now Niko has his own demons that he does not shy away from nor does he hide, what you see is what you get with him. - “No one can resist my undivided attention and constant pushing and shoving and annoying the fu**ing bejesus out of them.” Bran has worked hard to bury his demons & perfect the face everyone on the outside will see, caged & shackled himself to protect everyone but him.. All that changed when Niko literally bulldozed his way into Bran’s life & forced him to feel. - “Wanting him is a painful struggle. Wanting him is ripping a hole in the very marrow of my existence and making me question everything.” These two were perfect for each other & complete one another. They’re so opposite & it just works for them. “Nikolai!” “Yes, baby?”❤️‍🔥 There’s plenty of chaos, heartbreak & laugh out loud moments that will leave your heart on the floor & mind in a puddle, begging for someone to mend it immediately. There are numerous heartfelt moments between; - Friends - Family - & of course Niko & Bran This book is effortlessly funny & I will always get a kick out of Xander calling Jeremy a lizard🦎 To say I loved God of Fury is an understatement, I felt every emotion under the sun for Niko and his Lotus Flower🪷, I cried, laughed & yelled. I think this one had the best character development for everyone involved. This was beautifully& tastefully done, & will be a book I reread until my hearts content♥️
