Tasty, easy prep
This curry was very flavoursome - says mild to medium on the packet, ad I'd say that was right. The kit comes with a spice pack and an onion pack, as well as full instructions, which were easy to follow and the meal was done in half an hour, including prep time. I did cook my chicken for slightly longer to ensure it was cooked, as the instruction indicate 10 mins cooking time, which I felt was not enough. My husband commented on how tasty the curry was so I think that when the sachets are done we may purchase more, dependant on the price ( you get 3 currently for just under £10). Recommended.

An authentic tasting Indian meal served in minutes.
I love to cook, and have already tried other kits in the “East at Home” range. The kits are available either singly for £3.99 or in a pack of three for £9.99. The Ad suggests each kit has enough spices to make a meal for 4 people once the other ingredients are added. This review is for the Rogan Josh Spice Kit.The kit arrives well packaged with a bag of onion mixture and a bag of spices. There is a recipe card with step-by-step instructions. The instructions are also on the product information page. Besides the spices all you need to supply is the meat (if doing a meat-based curry) or the vegetables if you choose a vegetarian curry, plus one tin of chopped tomatoes, half a green pepper, half a red pepper, one medium onion and some optional corriander.I chose to use chicken thigh meat. I followed the step-by-step instructions and only added the recommended extras. It took less than 30 minutes from start to finish, and I just served it with rice, and naan bread.OPINIONI had already tried the Bhuna curry mix, and the Madras from the same Company, and I had found them both a little more spicy than I anticipated. However, the taste was amazing. As with the others, this gives a wonderful aroma throughout the house, just like walking past your favourite Indian take away !What I especially like about these is their simplicity, as even the most reluctant cook can conjure up a tasty meal in less than 30 minutes. For a tasty, simple and quick curry I would definitely recommend this product. Price wise, I do think it represents good value, considering all the various spices involved, but I think one pack is more suited to two rather than four people. It is certainly cheaper and healthier than either a take away or ready meal.In concIusion, I would definitely buy these kits again, and will explore other items in the range. It is good to see that a pack of four different flavours is available, and this is what I would choose when I buy them again. My personal favourite so far is this one (Rogan Josh).

Easy to follow instructions but very sour taste!
I am a fan of East at Home products and have regularly bought their excellent base gravy and cook in sauces. I had seen how simple these spice kits were to prepare and wanted to give them a go. This was my first try with the Rogan Josh. The cooking method is well described and very easy to follow. I think the texture of the finished curry was good, but I found the flavour overwhelmingly sour. I ended up stirring sugar in to balance it and would suggest at least a couple of tablespoons might be a good addition. That did make it more acceptable but it was not nearly as good as the cook in sauces they sell IMHO.I still have a Jalfrezi kit to try and will report on that separately.

Fantastic spice blend. Really nicely balanced.
This is perfect if you like a nice spice hit, without wanting too much heat. The mix itself is really tasty and flavourful, but without limiting itself by the amount of chilli included. You can always add more, but not take away - right? For me, the delicate, yet perfectly balanced blend showed the difference between trying to make something that approximates your favourite curry, but taking recipies off of the internet and someone having made them for years - which this spice blend feels like to me.Delicious, easy to prepare and a total gateway into wanting to check the rest of the range out.

Success every time
Each pack of spices is sufficient to make a curry for 4 people, just add your meat or veg.It was so quick and easy to make the curry which was really good and tasted authentic.A little pricey at over £3.00 an individual pack, but worth it.

Love a good curry
This spice tailor cooking kit is super flavourful. They are very easy to cook with and have very easy to follow cooking instructions. They come with everything you need to make a great meal, you just have to add the meat of veg you want to have and can serve them with rice or cous cous.Nice flavour and very easy to make, rogan Josh is one of my favourite Currys and this does not disappoint, only criticism is I would like a larger pack rather than having to buy two. Would buy again
