Fits in the original ignition space on the tractor
1940 9n Ford 4cyl gas with loader (6 volt-positive ground) I had a kill switch on my tractor when I bought it. I accidently left it on and burned out my coil and condensor as constant hot power over time without start will burn these out (FYI). Decided to get rid of the kill switch and bought this keyed switch set (along with a 6volt coil (positive ground) and a condensor). Found where the original key space was on the steering column, got the old one out, and put this one right in the same hole, no modifications needed. Replaced the coil and condensor and the tractor started right up!!! Key only comes out when the tractor is off.

Keyed Switches
I will use these switches on Commercial Juice Machines so the customer can lock out unwanted users. I by pass the on/off switch and install these so when the customer turns off the switch it is impossible for unwanted users to use the machine.

Nice double cut keys
Will use to secure an old electric golf cart so it will be a little harder to borrow with out permission. It does not have the weatherproof door on the key entry so will have to mount where rain can't enter.

Keys replacing toggle switches
I ordered 3 switches.One of the cylinders sticks.I only need 2 but sometimes I order 1 extra just in case.Good thing huh.

Works well!
This is well made and works exactly as described. The only thing I noticed is that at the same time I ordered a different brand switch it came with exactly the same key! So for “security” it may not be perfect, but it will keep the honest thieves at bay…
