It worked after making a change to my gen 3 wall charger
So initially it didn't work. I was blaming the adapter. But then I read another review on a different adapter about some setting that are on the wall charger. So I had to dig into my gen 3 tesla wall charger and check the settings. Under access.. It was set to charge "Tesla's only" I changed it to "All EV's" and then it started to charge. We'll see how long it lasts. Will change to 5 stars if it lasts 6 months

Interestingly enough I found myself needing this item because I took my non-Tesla in for service and was given an EV loaner that wasn't a Tesla. Luckily I had this to be able to use my Tesla charger with the other car. It worked seamlessly.
